My "true" HT normally consisted of:
Samsung S5053 50" Plasma
NHT SuperZero Bookshelves
Sealed 12" Dayton Reference Sub (DIY)
NAD T163 Pre/Pro
Niles SI-1200 Amp
Pioneer DV-48AV Elite
PS3 80GB
Unfortunately, we moved to a much quieter apartment. While I still have stereo speakers for music listening in the morning I needed a "silent" HT for the night. That rig is:
Display + Sources previously listed
AKG K601
Rockhopper Mini^3 amp
Victor JVC SU-DH1 Dolby Headphone surround unit
Audio Authority 1155
Guitammer Buttkicker Gamer
Which works crazy well simulating speakers in a reference room.
As for the daytime stereo listening:
PC
Auzentech X-Fi Prelude
Niles SI-1200 amp
Mangepan SMGa speakers
Buttkicker previously listed

I currently don't have much of a setup at the moment. It's a PS3 on Olevia 432V (though I've also got a HD-DVD player hooked up as well. I'd expand my home theater system, but I just don't have the money at the moment. When I get the cash, I will do so, but at the moment I'm having to scrape by with what I've got - but hopefully HD Nation will get me the information I need to put together a decent-to-good sounding system on the cheap once I get the money togeather.
Now that I think about it, I probably need more space too, so there's a matter of that...)

I've got a rather unusual setup. Everything pipes to my computer monitor / speakers:
to start with:
monitor: HP W2207 (been looking at getting a 24" 1080p display eventually)
speakers: Logitech Z-5500 Digital (love these guys)
now, the devices:
via an HDMI switch to the DVI input on the monitor
Computer (w/gefen DVI Detective... video card kept killing the output whenever I switched away) audio here is direct to the analog input on the speakers
PS3 (audio is done via optical cable to the speakers)
Laptop (once in a while)
via component video switch to a component -> VGA converter.
(hooked to the VGA input on the monitor)
audio for all the below is routed to the aux. (2 channel analog) input on the speakers from the converter box.
cable company DVR (DCH3416 I think, it wouldn't work via HDMI to the monitor) also have an S/PDIF audio cable going to the speakers.
Wii
PS2 (rarely used)
aka: very screwball setup but overall it works. Lately i've been eyeing a black magic intensity pro for the DVR and maybe the PS3. (also have my eye on a HDMI switch that strips HDCP for the above card :D)

First pic is from the front. Samsung 61A750 61" LED DLP, speakers of my own design, and my OAK HTPC on top middle.
Second pic, HTPC from the front, older pic before the covers were on the BluRay and DVD burner, and the logo plate in the middle. The blue LED fans backlite the logo.
Third pic is HTPC from an angle
Fourth pic is of the app MEDIA PORTAL that I use for all of my multimedia. It is showing the screen from MOVING PICTURES. Just click the movie to play it.
Last pic is also from MEDIA PORTAL, but the music screen. All my cd's are converted to FLAC, and I scan the cover art to put in.
HTPC Specs:
Custom case,
Corsair 850 watt Power Supply
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
XFX HD 5870 (finally, HD audio from my HTPC!)
4 gig Corsair Dominator 1066
LG BluRay player
Samsung DVD burner
1 500 gig Western Digital Black Boot/App drive
5 1TB Western Digital Black for multimedia storage

I have two setups, nothing fancy on either one.
The "old" setup downstairs is:
Sony KP-51WS510 - 51" rear projection CRT, For an HD CRT it's a great picture @ 1080i.
Sony HT-DWW790
Sony BDP-350 Blu-ray Player
Aliant HD IPTV box (Motorola VIP1200)
Xbox 360
Xbox - for good old XBMC
Sony 200 Disc CD Player CDP-CX200
Zenith VCR
The "new" setup upstairs is:
Sony Bravia KDL-42V4100
Sony STRDG720 7.1 Audio Video Receiver
Sony PS3
Aliant HD PVR IPTV box (Motorola VIP1216)
As you can see I do have a bit of Sony gear, mostly because my wife works for a store that has some really good sales on it.

Nintendo Wii
A very old set of Bose Cube 5.1 speakers (they maybe old but man, do they rock still).
Rogers HD PVR Cablebox
