Me and my friend have been playing all co-op games recently and need our next one.

We've played through...

- Gears 1/2
- Left4Dead
- Crackdown
- Halo 3
- Call of Duty 3/5

... possible next choices are

- Resident Evil 5... ?
- Saints Row 2... ?

Are there any other good ones out there? My googling didn't reveal any kind of definitive list.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a decent co-op experience

There are also some good Live Arcade Co-Op games as well like Assault Heroes 1 & 2, Castle Crashers, and Arkadian Warriors.

Can't really do those as we rent the games through lovefilm. Though castle crashers looks interesting.

I don't have a 360, but I'd say Sacred 2. It's massive and does 4-player co-op online (two offline, I think). I have it on PS3 and I like it a lot, though I have only done co-op a bit.

As an honorable mention I have to, well, mention my favorite co-op game of all time. Not too new but I had soo much fun playing co-op with my buddy over xbox live.

Splinter Cell, Chaos Theory

What made it so good was the gameplay required you to work with your partner and communicate what you are doing at all times and discuss each step of the way with one another as to how we should progress. The best part is as we would talk over xbox live chat the enemies (based on our proximity to them in the game) could hear us whispering back and forth and would be alerted and come check the area they hear us at.

Isometric dungeon crawler, if you like the Marvel universe it is worth checking out, plus it can be had dirt cheap now.

If you find a way to play Castle Crashers I encourage it, tons of fun. Also Rainbow Six Vegas (2) has some sort of co-op mode that was pretty fun for an evening.

Gears of War 2 Horde mode is awesome if you can get together 3 or more players. Teamwork is a must.

Yeah we were playing that earlier. That was lots of fun, we had some randoms with us we carried on till wave 18 I think. Just finished the main game to GOW2 so that's what's going back tomorrow.

Ghost Recon games also have a co-op mode, and I could play it till the cows come home. Can't wait for the next GR game!
