Try not to do something I might regret later. Afterwards when I feel more calm I hit the gym. Sometimes when I feel stressed out I like to go for a work out or train in mixed martial arts. I feel less stress afterwards.

I've barely kept my composure the second part of today, and even right now, holy god I'm using willpower like you wouldn't believe to not rip loose and get myself banned by ripping everyone here a new one, which only a couple would deserve, but which I'd unleash on anyone. I want to cry and break things, but am still trying to be Miss Nice IRL and I almost started screaming at the org tonight.

I'm 26, and it's not the posters that are making me want to destroy things. A couple drive me nuts and I've withheld ripping into them, but that's aside the point, none of them are causing what's making me feel like this.
So I'm wondering how people blow steam in nice, legal, non-self-harming ways.

I'm 26 also. Most people that post in these forums here seem to be 21 and under. Ignorance is bliss at those stages. You should relax doing activities you really enjoy. Laughter is also a good remedy!

Age isn't much of a teller of maturity, knowledge, or wisdom.
As for how to find a way to let off some steam, usually I talk to someone I trust and let out everything I'm thinking and feeling. Then I realize how these things I allowed get to me don't really mean much when I look at how it affects my life as a whole, and I get over it.

I do a couple things to calm down when in a raging mood.
What usually works best though is to find a random person to have a chat with. Like go get a coffee and talk to someone else there about something totally inane to take my mind off what has got me so angry.
Also, I have a punching bag at home that I hit with boxing gloves to blow off steam too.
Just get active and get away from the anger source.

To blow off steam I do several things. I'll go and ride the atv, just mess around. I'll take the guns out and shoot off some rounds. Or I'll just chillout and play video games.
Usually I find it's better to not be around other people or in crowds. Cause more than likely you'll notice things about them that annoy you. You need some alone time. Just you and some type of activity that requires no thought.

What set you off like this?
It can't be the inane ramblings of a few rev3 posters, can it? What import can it have that a couple of semi-anonymous children ranted about this meaningless subject or that?
I wonder if you place too much import on the incredibly tiny population of this site. They are for the most part nice people. But they are just an insignificantly miniscule representation of the opinions, thoughts, and ideas of the billions of people in this world. Being here, and significantly reacting to our reactions and discussions, is like being at the center booth of an all night diner at 1:00 am on a saturday night.
Allow me to elaborate:
To the left you hear a bunch of stoned teens sucking down black coffee and rambling nonsensical philosophy and pretending to know politics.
To the right is a young black couple on their first date, just having been to a new hip club and making fun of the clothes the other patrons are wearing (yes, including you.)
Behind you is a table full of rowdy mid twenties drunks, harassing the waitress and blathering about the latest hip movies/pop-star/cell-phone and coming to the inevitable conclusion that they all suck. Suck big time.
In front of you is a gay couple trying to "get it on" while waiting for their "breakfast 24 hours a day" but their third wheel "best friend" won't let them because she has to do her pathetic imitation of Cher.
These are the Forums of our lives.
And back on topic: I get over being pissed off at forumspeak by taking forumspeak at face value. IE: Laugh my ass off at the idiocy of it all.

When I'm about to snap I usually isolate myself from all living things, avoid the internet, and listen to the heaviest music I can find and fall asleep to it. Almost always fell better when I wake up.

Ouch. Hardcore. My ears bleed just hearing their names.
Actually, the only one I'm familiar with is Danzig. Familiar with the Revolting Cocks? Early NIN did it for me a decade ago. Should revisit them (him). Best show I ever saw.

That could be a business... A big room with glass and made in china stuff to throw at a wall and break and cry to your hearts content. Cost per hour of having shit-fit? $20...
Joking aside, maybe go do something where you can take anger/pain out without hurting yourself/anyone/any animals in the process. maybe a punching bag or something?

You are on to something here. Really. Sell it to the management folk at big business. You know, like those rock climbing retreats, etc..

It had nothing to do with anyone here. My schedule for the next week is so freaking packed. I thought that, with every single friend of mine out of the area gone until at least the 1st, I'd have time to do stuff I needed to do. But people came crawling out of the woodworks placing more demands on my time and finances. I'm eating ephedra like candy to stay awake. I miss Nickolay on top of it. I still haven't even mailed Christmas gifts. So, when I got a couple phone calls about things other people think I need to make a priority, things that can WAIT, I was pushed over the top. It was too much at that point. After posting, I was crying, and then Nickolay signed online (he's in Canada) and he managed to cheer me up.
I'm still so slammed busy that it's not funny. Seriously the only breaks I'm taking are when I come here of all places. I'm barely making time to eat. Just too busy.

You grow wiser and mature as you age. These are a known indisputable facts. Please feel free to prove me wrong. The older you are the better you're at regulating you're emotions and experience. I live around people with a lot experience and a bit more mature for their age.

This is in general, but not a rule. Some never mature and wisen, and some never seen to have been anything but.

It is not age that makes you wiser, knowledgable, or mature, it is life experience. Obviously the longer you've lived, the more chances you've had to have meaningful life experiences, but some people have huge life experiences in short amounts of time, and some people have hardly had any major life experiences except for a few minor ones. For example my g/f is 25 but you would never guess it. She has not lived through anything major at all really. I myself am 22. I lived through quite a few things. I could never relate to my friends when I was younger. I seemed to always gravitate toward "adults". My oldest sister is 25, and displays a completely different maturity/knowledge/wisdom level than my g/f and even myself. Again I will say it is not age that gives someone maturity, knowledge, or wisdom, it is life experience.
