That's right, it is available on Netflix either as a disc or as an instant view! Go watch it and then let's discuss it!

Is that the one with all the kids toys and the holograms-on-sticks.

...no, wait, that was 'Visionaries.' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visionaries:_Knights_of_the_Magical_Light)

What was yours about again?

the Netflix summary:

Visioneer George Washington Winsterhammerman (Zach Galifianakis) lives a comfortable but monotonous life in this slightly futuristic black comedy. But when people start exploding from stress and George is showing early symptoms, he's forced to examine his life. Taking a look at his prestigious job, his sexless marriage and his resistance to life coaching, George reconsiders the philosophy of happiness through mindless activity.

Basically I guess that is some of what the movie is, but really, what this movie is about is a man who lives in a world where dreams are prohibited, and productivity is the only thing that matters. The world it seems is being run by a corporation, and their main goal is to wipe away all individuality until there is only submission and productivity. Zach Galifianakis' character works for this company(The Jeffers Corporation), and although it seems like he has everything he should want to make him happy, he simply isn't. The film deals with the feelings of hopelessness and inadequacies in the modern material world.

It is labeled as a dark comedy, but it is no more a comedy than Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind. It has a similar vibe to Eternal Sunshine, or Being John Malkovich. Like those movies, it transends a specific genre. It is simply a good film; a challenging film, but a damned good one.

I'm proud of myself for sitting through the whole thing. This movie is terrible.

This sounds amazing. I've been immensely excited to watch this movie since I heard about it a few weeks ago. I was planning on watching it today since it was the first day it was on instant watch but somehow ended up being a lot more busy than I expected. There's always tomorrow I guess.

Despite my immense excitement for this film which I normally try to subdue in an attempt to limit disappointment, I loved this movie. I can't really explain why exactly I loved it but it struck that same Wristcutters: A Love Story vibe and was just loved the way it was a nice meditation on happiness.

Glad you liked it. I think it takes a certain type of person to actually appreciate an artful and strange film, such as this.
