In this episode, JV hits the streets with no focus, direction, or purpose... other than to eff with people. T alking non-sense with strangers is one of JV's favorite things to do. You might recognize the location. It is on e of San Francisco's most popular tourist spots, Union Square. This is only some of the footage that JV captured the other day.

This was a hilarious episode.

I got a feeling that a few of the people that really initially hated the show may come around a bit after this one if they're still giving it a chance. Who can't find this funny?

Wow, maybe I am really coming around man. But i think I saw this show before.. whats it called jack ass? Maybe minus the making fun of disabled people. If you want I can post some of the stuff my friends and I used to when we were in middle school. I'm sure you would find that amusing too.

Yup this is classic Dog House stuff right here. And I believe they did this stuff way before Jack Ass. Actually MTV wanted JV to do the show but he turned it down because he loved radio.

I would love to see it. Please do post it.

Middle school antics, pure comedy.

This was the first episode of JVsWorld that I didnt hate! I liked this one a lot! Reminded me of Jay Leno's "Jaywalking". I like these out on the street types of segments!

The man just wanted to pick up some art with penis and/or vagina in it.

Can't somebody hook a brother up with some penis and/or vagina art ?

That was fun. You know i think he can get away with being a jackass on the streets weekly. maybe he should have a couple of segments in between and baam, hes got a show. "Jackass of the week" anyone?

Great Episode. Definitely not a skill that just anyone has. JV would have made me uncomfortable as hell, but I was expecting the San Franciscan to have a bit more personality than me.

I didn't enjoy this episode at all and to be honest tuned off when he started making jokes about gay people. I love Revision3 and even have a T-shirt but I don't feel I want to advertise the website if the content is going to go more toward this direction.

I have been referring co workers to rev 3 for tekzilla, hak5 etc. Shows like this could easily offend them so it's not as easy to refer people to the site (which by the way, is the only way sites like this will be getting uniques).

I didn't even know that Rev3 existed until I got the email notice from JV that he had a show on here.

Since then, I've checked out a lot of the other shows and they're pretty good (my favorites being Film Riot, Digg Reel, Pixel Perfect and IFanboy-although I think it has too many hosts and each one is more annoying than the next)

Out of all the channels I've mentioned, I think Pixel Perfect is the only one that has never used the "F" word (although Bert Monroy does use the "N" word a little too much for my taste).

I figure that if my friends can handle the "F" word, they can handle the gay jokes.

I feel that swearing is very different to gay jokes, I feel that JV gay jokes are homophobic myself. I know the common saying if you don't like it then don't watch it however I can do that but I feel more uncomfortable referring people here knowing there is a show that can be homophobic.

Ill file that under "thats your opinion".

In the bay area we do things a little different. We dont look at homosexuality as if its a problem. Its as common as morning coffee. So when someone pokes fun at gay people.. Nobody has issues with it. Hard to explain.. But anti gay people are really hard to find over here.

So if I live in a predominantly black town, would it be okay for me to "poke fun at black people" by using words used to cause harm to black folks?

If so, would you you be willing to put this to test, and go in a predominantly black neighborhood to see what happens? It may make for an interesting YouTube video. Purely scientific. :)

Not that i don't like a joyride on a distant city, but i would apreciate if the show had some kind of informative value to it other than just to entratain those who like the senselessness of mocking people.

Well that would never work. You can tell INSTANTLY that JV is not black. BUT.. You do not know if he is gay.

Other races that resemble white can be used if you like. But black.. Youre going to the extreme there Phathead.

Why cant your thick head get this? THE BAY AREA IS VERY DIVERSIFIED. Anyone from the Bay Area would understand EXACTLY what im saying.

So it's only okay to joke if you belong to that same race or sexual orientation? Cool, I didn't know JV was gay.

So black people are off limits, but you don't care about gay people? What about Jews? Is it cool to make fun of those Jewish people? So if it's a diverse community it's cool to use language that belittles another group of people? That's your argument?

Yeah, that makes sense. GREAT point. /sarcasm

And just so you know, I have friends who live in the bay area and they DON'T understand exactly what you're saying. Language that belittles a group of people has the same outcome in San Francisco and in Alabama. It doesn't matter where you're at.

EDIT
Oh, but that was a good one when you called me Phathead. Really, that was good. You sure told me. I think I just got served. Wow!

About every comedian and sitcom ever made makes gay jokes with some being more subtle than others and at least 95 % of those jokes are done out of humor with no hate or malice intended and that's where I think JV stands.

Will & Grace was a full half hour of nothing but gay jokes and negative gay stereotypes, but they got a pass from day one.

I wouldn't read too much into any of JV's sketches, they're just meant to be harmless, funny and stupid, much like JV himself.

We're not referring to a comedy sketch. It was his 40 minute rant.

Since you asked your "friends from the bay" (as if you really have "friends").. I sent this link to my dike sister..

Not only does she think you ride the little bus to school.. But she laughed her ass off, bookmarked it JVs rev page & is now following him on twitter.
