I would just like to apologize to Kevin & Alex for the really horrible things I said about them during the Infected Christmas Pageant. That was uncalled for. I was very upset.

Thanks for understanding...

I smell a PR campaign.

I smell a PR campaign.

Maybe, maybe not. Does it really matter? This would be one hell of a risky campaign, coming off like a bastard and hoping to turn it around.

I mean, I don't know yet, I haven't seem it yet. Just saying. Cut Martin some slack unless he something shows up later. :)

Weirder, still. My perfectly innocuous comments are appearing , disapearing and reappearing at random, and I don't know what MS is talking about to begin with...

All publicity is good publicity.

Why would he apologize for something before hand if he could just erradicate it to begin with?

I did the same thing about Canada (http://grogblogs.blogspot.com/2006/08/preemptive-apology-to-canada.html)prior to posting a podcast. Just for laughs. But no-one watches my podcast...:p

If that was a PR campaign, it's, well, not a good way to start. Even if for publicity, what he said, especially about Alex, is hurtful.

Yup, nothing more hurtful than attacking a person's voice modulation.

It can be humiliating for some people. It's enough to worry others might think it, but to hear someone insult you for it where others can see it?

I take it no one has ever done anything that could humiliate you publicly and online. Lucky you.

Take something you don't like about yourself. Now have someone else try to make a joke out of it. Funny to others, secretly (or not) humiliating to you. Hurtful. And some people are sensitive about voice modulations or a few extra pounds or a scar or other such things that most people really couldn't care less about. I don't think this was exactly a joke.

It was and still is a joke people, get a sense of humor!

Seemed very scripted to me. I normally don't listen to Infected but that got me to. Thats the point of this apology to get people to listen to see what he is talking about.

If it was a joke, then Martin suddenly learned to act.

Like I said. big ****ing PR stunt that turned me off to the podcast from square one. What works on network TV will never work on the web. Praise him for trying, but a big fat ****ing failure. Will never listen just because of this pathetic stunt.

Yep. I hate when I have to put my own voice/face in my podcast. I dislike
hearing me and seeing me in them. It's not about me until editing happens, but sometimes I have to thrust myself in there because it would interrupt the continuity if I cut myself out.

I reeeaaaaalllly don't want to subject myself to public scrutiny, but the guys, the main thrust of the show, have no hesitation. (of course, one is gorgeous, and the other is an egomaniac. So it works out well.)

Seemed like a big joke to me. He's just playing the Martin Sargent role like he had been in his blog (last time I looked which was a long time ago). Yes, I downloaded the show to hear what he said. I fast fowarded a lot of the show just to hear the parts about Kevin and Alex. I could barely get through it. So his stunt worked to an extent. But it was painful listening to it. No offense to people who like M.S. He was ok back in the TechTV days (before G4), but his new stuff is just not funny to me. Needless to say I won't be listening to the show again.

OMFG!! It was a fu*king joke. Think about it?? From the moment Martin said all these people would be coming on for the Infected Olde World Christmas special me and my friend said at the same time, none of them are coming. And they didnt and it was just a joke on his podcast. Then he started to insult them in the lamest ways possible imho.

Ctrl-Alt-Chicken, more like Ctrl-Alt-Di*k

Thats funny and not harmful to anyone really. The voice pitch thing was funny and not really all that true. And well... Kevin being a pretty boy fagot... well... he is a little... maybe... idk... I reserve all comments...

Well looks like the last Diggnation prooved us both right. It was plain and simple a joke.

Btw, my comments about it being painful to get through was about his show, not what he said about Kevin and Alex.

That episode was a work of genius. Lol at everyone who doesn't think it was preconceived! Sargent is really a great writer -- I can understand that some don't get him but if you do, it's brilliant.
