Can someone recommend a good TV for a dorm room? I would like something 22" or larger, with HDMI, 720p (1080p would be even better), and VGA input. I am looking to spend between $250-$350, but lower is better.
What TV's and what sites would you recommend? I've been looking around and I think Overstock has some good deals (refurbished Vizio VO22L 22-inch 1080p LCD HDTV for $270).

I am not sure if this would work for you, but given your space restrictions, I saw something very cool down at Best Buy recently. It was a computer monitor that was about that size or even a bit bigger, but also 720p resolution, with all the TV inputs (even HDMI) so that it can do double duty as a computer monitor and small HDTV. That means one screen one sound system, etc. I am not sure about the cost, however. It would be cool because not only could you hook up cable/satellite and a bluray player, but you also have a great screen for internet content like . . . Revision3!!! :0)

I'm in pretty much the same predicament; looking for a good quality flat-screen HDTV for a dorm room, with spending as little as possible.
Through my searches, I've come across one that I really like and am considering going to look at and potentially buy later...

It's an Insignia, 22" 1080p LCD HDTV f6r $299. 3 HDMI ports, along with a bunch of other ports.
@ Vance:
Pretty much all new TVs are going that route now, where you can use them as TVs as well as computer monitors.

The Vizio's are a good bang for your buck. I'm wondering though if you the 22'' tv's your looking at are actually 1080i rather than p as that resolution on such a small tv is rather pointless. And I've never seen a Vizio that small that is any higher than 720p.
Check out walmart though as they sell certian vizio's than can only be found there.

Ah, thanks, I did not know that. Adding that VGA (or whatever the computer connection is) is pretty smart thinking for smaller TV's. It never occurred to me until I saw that set up at Best Buy. I am thinking about one for my home office/den. My son would love a screen like that for gaming!
