If superman (or another character with superspeed) is riding a bike, can he go faster then running?

It'd have to be one hell of a tough bike.

Yes, scientifically, he can get further with fewer steps, for the same reason everyone else can.

At my job, if you go faster than the standard, you get a bonus to your paycheck. We one time sat down with a calculator and a committee of four guys and tried to figure out if the company would save money if they fired everybody and just hired the Flash: Would his incentive check be bigger than everybody's salary put together?

N/A, the flash wouldn't take the job.

I don't know in Superman's case it would be hard to ride a bike at super speed while wearing a cape. If the cape got stuck in the spokes it is all over.

That's the best answer I've received yet!

Come now, If "supes" had a bike, and Flash had a treadmill, wouldn't supes be actually On The Trail, while Flash was still in the gym, and was that the question? and seriously, are we taking this seriously, cereal?

The bike would have to be made (partially) out of Kryptonite... why? Because he's too durable and strong to be on a bike. The kryptonite would dampen his strength.
In order to ride faster than he could run he would have to place (what to us would be) mass amounts of pressure onto pedals. Which would result in the following incidents:
1. Pedals would break: he's just too durable.
2. Chain damage: not enough oil in the world to lubricate a chain to mobilize a bike faster than Supe's could run. The chain has to move faster than Supe's could run... so that's out of the question.

I find it hilarious that the statement saying my experiment was pointless was "The Flash wouldn't take the job" and NOT "The Flash doesn't exist."
I fuckin' love you guys.
