Do you know of any comprehensive or pretty comprehensive book/comicbook about the development/evolution of comicbook art? crosshatching, motion lines, layouts etc. Thanks.

I don't believe this book exists. If it did, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Or just comics history in general. They have a few books on the history of individual artists, but i don't believe there is one on the medium as a whole.

Look at the works of Chip Kidd. Not sure if it's exactly what you are looking for, but pretty close I feel.
