On the previous episode Robert did a really good job of discussing contrast ratio and debunking the gigantic Dynamic ratios seen on a lot of tv's.
However, after watching that segment I was really interested to know what a good or recommended static contrast ratio would be. My digging through the internet came up with 5000:1 for Plasmas and 1000:1 for LCDs.
I'm just looking for a little confirmation on those numbers or you guys' opinions.

P.S. Just started watching the show love it so far. Actually, just found out about revision3 recently thanks to the guys at Area5.tv. Its good to see so many familiar faces from TechTV!
