Did anyone attend the Chicago Comic Con? I was pretty disappointed that I spent $35 and there was none of the big companies there with exhibits. Does anyone know why they were not there? Unfortunately I didn't make to any of the panels, I wish I did. It was great to see artist alley and some of the celebrities like Edward James Olmos and Michelle Rodriguez, but the entrance fee was too much in my opinion for what I thought was more of a comic book flea market rather than a convention. What were your thoughts?

I didn't go, but from what I heard there was a lot of great talent.

I went and had a blast. I spent most of my time in Artist Alley to get sketches. Talking to Mike Allred, getting sketches by Manapul, Chaykin, and Art Baltazar. It was a lot of fun. I definitely agree that most of the con was like a big flea market, but there was a lot of great talent to meet and get sketches from, which was the reason I went. It is a disappointing con if you're looking for big announcements and publisher booths.
