Windows Mobile apps going to make any appearance?

It seems like rev 3 has some sort of pregidous against windows mobile. i saw the advert for this new show on the new episode of the digg real, and they mentioned every platform except windows mobile. there are lots of people out there that chose not to get an iphone, are we going to see any winmo love?

honestly, this points out the instant failure of the show. If you make a show dedicated to talking about all the apps for mobil devices... well... there are cell phones that run vista (at least there were), are they going to cover MS office? No. Its an iPhone show, but they dont want to be called out on being apple biggots

Geez. One episode and already people are trying to categorize the show. Give it a couple of weeks before passing judgment.

I too would be interested in Windows Mobile Apps. I have a lot of respect for the other platforms but my heart is with Windows Phones. Please consider adding this especially as Microsoft's app store is released!

I think that for that in the group photo they have, there should be more phones than just iPhones. I understand that those are probably their actual phones, but now everyone thinks that this is an iPhone show at first glance and thus come here and start worrying.

Otherwise, the show is pretty cool.

It isn't an iphone only show. Honestly it's like people are complaining without watching the show. Patrick mentioned at the start that they would cover iphone, blackberry, android, pre, etc.

I as well would like to see Windows Mobile Apps discussed...and to all those haters out there...the Windows Mobile OS is still a major force to be reckoned with and quite possibly the easiest platform to develop for...and without the need for approval from Big Brother Apple!

I also agree. The show looks good, but there is no mention of Windows Mobile applications. Granted there is no app store yet, but atleast mention that they would review some manual downloadable apps.

I fear Rev3 is just making another show just based on what they have got being used around the office. I am sure someone in the office must have a WinMo device that they constantly use. If not, then when you are next recruiting, hire some people who aren't just iphone followers.

I am trying to better the show not hate on it btw.

Agreed! I think windows mobile is misunderstood by many and most people who have it don't realize all the amazing things you can do with it! I would love AppJudgment to cover Windows mobile applications.

I am a fan of rev 3 but this is one show I wont be viewing I don't think there will ever be a fair review. Of course a Iphone app will be better. that's like saying OS 10 is better than Ubuntu or open source software. ALL my windows mobile apps very good, fast, stable. but yes i had to mod my Omnia to do it. (and run all at the same time, also free)....

No love for the Nokia?? ... surprised the euro viewers didn't pick up on that immediately).

The intro should be retooled to be all flavours of SmartPhones, but having said that, this doesn't look to be an iPhone only show - and people need to give it a chance before passing a *ahem* PodJudgment *cough*.

In my opinion, Windows Mobile is complete junk. But as long as it's a popular on various devices, I think it should still be covered in the show. It only makes sense.

We need more east coast representatives. And you know what, there are still phones that run VISTA out there http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875502012 . i bet that you could hook that up with win7, that would be awesome. has anyone here even seen the new WinMo, it kinda looks like an unlocked HTC version of android on the Hero (G2). Before long, the same os that we run on the desktop will be running on the cellphone.

to make this thread more constructive, how about instead of bickering wether winmo is a good os or not, how about we offer up apps for them to review?

twitter roundup (cetwit, tinytwitter, etc.)
wmwifirouter (turn your phone into a wifi access point, like the mifi)
vtap (youtube and wikipedia search tool)
browser roundup (opera mobile, skyfire, pocket ie, etc.)
plenty of games out there to review

there's a lot of potential for the show makers to review windows mobile apps because there's such a great variety and number of them out there. who knows, maybe at one point they can discuss the whole custom rom scene?

O dont worrie... some of us Euroviewers picked up on it .
..Seems there is not much luv for Nokia or Sony ericsson so far in this show.

..but have asked for coverage of symbian ...would like to see some Winmobile as well .. I will never ever get/understand the iPhone and the hype around it... .. in my opinion it was behind its time before it was even released ..the new verison does not add much to change that.... happy for the ones that enjoys it,.... great for you guys... but you can do so much more. . and so much better ... again , in my opinion.

OK so I watched the app show,regardless of whats on I love all of you but if your getting tech news all day from the top 20 tech sites they all give Iphone apps reviews then i will pass, anyway I have some windows mobile apps to judge . SPB 3.0, M2D, IGO-8 OPERA, SPORTYPAL, OMNIANO, all great apps add don't forget . it has word, excel, and pdf...

once again great show with just a little diversity thrown in sometimes...

I've gotten to where I use Kinoma Play most of the time on my Windows Phone. I'd love a review of that. It's gotta be one of the best apps for media out there!
