idea for a new format

well alot of people like the video version of diggnation and for those handful of people that have A...O..L (just shivered when i said that) cant enjoy the 300+ mg videos and only the only ones they can download is the mp3 version so for those people how about and audio/video version? where its the audio and a screenshot of the show every 10 seconds? kinda like infected is that a good idea?

Ya it could be neat. I hate AOL :rawr:. I would think that like 90% of the reason people download the audio version it to put it on their non-video iPod (I could be wrong here) I have a curiousity question though. If they made a enhanced podcast would it show up on non-video iPods. And are you suggesting a exact replica of infected or a enhanced podcast?

Enhanced podcasts work on non-video iPods, just like audio books do, but without the pictures, etc, only chapters.

You could use BitTorrent and just download over night. MIght take two days but if your sleeping might not be a problem.

I'm confused... why can't you download a file that is over 300 mb?

If it's disconnecting you, just use a download manager like flashget or something..

And the small video versions are <300 mb.

it's easy to forget that often those living in third-world countries have horrible ISPs. Hell, even expensive satellite connections can give you crappy 10KB/sec for over $500/month (for civilians).

I craved for a 5MB dial-up version of the diggnation mp3 during my stay there. It took forever just to download the 50mbs mp3 version using Download Accelerator.

actually it would be really funny to watch since infected they took pictures so they look a certain way but if they just took random screen caps you would see some funny pictures thats for sure
