I don't really colllect single issues, more of a trade guy, but I am interested in getting the Blackest Night variant issues. I have been seeing the sketch variants, which are 1:200, go for around $100.

My question is are these worth it? Will they hold their value or are they just the hot thing right now and I'll be able to get them cheaper later?

Any help is appreciated

In actuality, no one really knows. I usually don't spend more than $20 for a variant. My guess is that if you wait long enough and keep waiting, it will drop. You can also wait till you're a millionaire and wouldn't care if it went up another $100.
