So i'm just getting back into comics and blah blah blah....
I'm sure you know the rest but heres my predicament, I asked my wife to pick me up some random comics a few months ago (i'm in a wheelchair so it's easier that way) and she comes home with some DvD's.Ok i ask whats this and it seems she picked up some comics on dvd at a garage sale for fifteen bucks, right on I say and check them out. Well for fifteen bucks it seems i've gotten the entire marvel Civil War,House of M and Secret Invasion....sweet right?Wow i expected a few x-man and maybe a daredevil or whatever else has been made into a movie but nope i get 200+ issues of awesomeness (i know alot of you didn't like civil war but hey for someone who hasn't read a comic in 10 years it was a great foray back into comics). But anyways..whats next? I need something thats got alot of issues already out, after having been spoiled with the likes of Civil War and Secret Invasion i've discovered that i like to read fifteen or so issues in a row (yep lots of time on my hands) and if possible on disc\dvd. I'd rather not DL torrents for the simple fact that i think i'd get too used to it and never actually buy an issue which wouldn't be fair to the writer/artist,and i'm not just blowing smoke here i'm a writer myself who's made about .11 cents in ten years so i know what it's like. But alas any ideas? By the way if it helps i'm really digging marvel right now so superhero comics would be nice but not mandatory. Also i just got finished with all of the Runaways and I LOVE it so far, my only gripe (and don't hold it against me please) is that i think within Runaways v3 Humberto Ramos' art just isn't to my liking he's obviously talented but as with his Wolverine in Civil War i think it's too "Latenite Cartoon Network" and not comic book-y enough for me. But in his defense I'm just getting back into comics and if reading CW,HOM and Secret Invasion has taught me anything ALOT has changed. So there it is any help would be appreciated and ummm Hi I'm 1ScareCrow3 and i'm a (returning) comics addict.
