View Full Version : Recent Audio Sync Issues?

I've noticed that the most recent HD MP4 versions of Tekzilla weekly and daily, and HD Nation have had some fairly serious audio sync issues. Is this something you are aware of or do to a recent change?
I'm watching them on a Windows 7 install (totally vanilla, nothing custom) and see the sync issues with WMP, Media Centre and even VLC.
Older episodes (even from a week ago) don't seem to have the same problem - they are rock steady.
Hope this enough info to go on and that it's easily resolved.

So far no response. Here's a specific example:
hdnation--0004--screenclean--hd720p30.h264 - rock solid audio sync
hdnation--0005--vizioplayer--hd720p30.h264 - if you skip forward or back while watching the audio and video fall out of sync
The most likely assumption is that perhaps between the two you made a change to your encoding approach.
Any ideas as to whats happening? Thanks.

Thanks for posting. I've been having the same issue. Even today, watching the new HD nation with Roger had some pretty bad sync issues; though not as bad as the previous episode. I am also watching the HD mp4, viewing with VLC.
I only notice the problem with HD Nation and Tekzilla. TRS and Diggnation are always perfect.
Has no one from support responded at all to your issue?

We made some changes to address the audio-sync issues with the mp4 files. You said the latest episode of HDNation. Is it episode #10? The audio sync issues should have been resolved with that episode. I am not able to reproduce the audio sync issues with VLC with episode #10.

Just finished watching HDNation #11 and new Tekzilla, and audio sync issues had all but been eliminated. Preparing to watch mp4 version of HDNation #12 and TRS #32. I'll post here when finished.

Everything seems fixed on my end. Don't change anything! ;)
I have noticed this on the HD nation HD version
I have to apply a 0.6 sec delay or advance

XVID of Last several weeks episodes of diggnation have been jittery and terrible in both audio and video on mythTV. I've stopped watching it as soon as i start it and notice it is still busted. Not even near watchable.
Last several weeks TRS have been out of sync, due to some jitters in the video, but not audio. Again this on MythTV. I still watch TRS out of sync, but it pisses me off every time i look at the screen.
Other XVIDs have never giving me a problem on my myth box... not sure what about your encoding is causing this stuff. Hoping it can be fixed soon.
