X-Overs: Necrosha and X-Nation coming soon...character spoilers inside ....

Well 2 exciting,well i think its exciting,Xmen events will be happening this upcoming season. Actually they should be coming soon. The seeds have been planted in recent issues. So i thought I would post my thoughts on both and opinions throughout and hopefully see what everyone thinks. So here we go:

X-Nation- coming into this fall the Xmen and mutants as a whole are making a move(which i did wanna say is within there last year making it 2 moves). As we saw in the recent issue of Uncanny they are moving under water. It seems the science squad(on more of Cyclops' sly behind the scene stuff) has been ordered to build a community for mutants. So now thru interviews with Mr Matt Fraction we now know that this X Nation,is where they are going. Now,a few questions I have would be 1. Whose going? I mean mutants are still split up checking all the books. Beast and Prof. X is in prison. And Emma Frost is hanging with Osborn. Another set is doing something else which we will talk about later. 2. Where did he get the funding? I'm curious if they are still letting Warren front all this,because in the last issue of Uncanny,Cyclops did state that he pays for it all. Lastly 3. What does this hold for the future? Not only does interviews state X-Nation,but it also states the return of Magneto(with powers,which is odd because his powers should be gone,even though we last left him with the Evolutionary. But I'll leave that alone). Hopefully we'll see some answers and hey hopefully it'll be a fun ride.


Necrosha (Blackest Night Marvel Edition)- If you have been reading X Force's first arc you know of a man named Elias Bard. Well this is his gift to my favorite...let me say it again so you will know.....my favorite marvel villainess(is that even a word) ....The Hellfire Clubs Black Queen...The Immortal Witch...Selene. Apparently,his scheme is to raise the millions of dead mutants under her power and allow here to sacrifice a third of where ever she is. He started this by raising first Warlock as her beacon to find these mutants. While X-nation is more of an event,this is what I would call a true crossover. Think of it in the same theme as the Onslaught event. X Force will have the main story. While New Mutants and X-Men Legacy will have the "impacts". Besides bringing back Selene,Elias Bard,Whither, and hopefully Trevor Fitzroy; this crossover will also bring back Emplate(why?). Apparently not only are these events using some of the circumstances,but a gimmick to bring back unused characters,even if they shouldn't be(emplate). This event is supposed to bring turmoil to the various teams. I mean who in marvel has truly lost the most,mutants. Now down to around 200(number depends on whose writing) this event truly could impact the world as whole. So I guess we will see.


Well hopefully we will like these,but no matter what it will give us things to read if your bored. So I at least love to see Selene again,she hasn't gotten a real story since 2000. And who doesn't like a good Magneto story. So get ready people.

Are Cyclops and Magneto teaming up? Based on the bits and pieces I'm hearing of Nation X and the schism between mutants, it seems like it's coming down Between Cyclops and Emma. It seems like Cyclops and Magneto have a lot in common these days.

haven't really heard about a team up between Cyclops and Magneto. But we will come to some terms about Emma and Cyclops. Also heard more ppl are gonna find out about Cyclops "lil covert team o'mutants". By the way a recent preview of the next Dark Avengers showed Dani Moonstar talking to the norse god Hela,goddess of death. So it seems like more pieces are moving in the X world. I'm just curious with the lines being drawn for mutants,where are things going to head? Kinda excited to see

well as a slight update, i thought i would wait until everyone read the books, it looks like our answers have been given to us. Pretty much Cyclops is creating a new Genosha. Being that he has taken all the mutants who seek asylum and put them on his manmade nation. I say that because X Factor is headed to New York,the Starjammers are still in space,and a hand full of mutants are still hanging arounded.

Also Selene might have raised her next dead mutant,my intial writing misstated Doug ramsey whose raised this month in XForce with Wither and Caliban watching Elias do the dead. I gonna see and hope this is not Blackest Night 2.0.

I don't know if they'd team-up--there was something interesting in X-Men: Legacy between Magneto and Xavier, where Magneto (or Eric, since he was depowered at the time) is trying to help...someone (my X-Men knowledge is nowhere near extensive) fix his brain after being shot in Massiah Complex. One of the people there asks them who they thought won in the end, and Eric agreed with Xavier's answer by saying that essentially neither did.

So, my thinking is that instead of a team-up, Magneto actually goes to Cyclops to try to stop him from making the same mistakes he made.

thought Id update after the whole Legacy Annual and this weeks Uncanny. Pretty much the line has been set. The Xmen and fellow mutant are their own island. It seems they are bracing for a new story with Emplate. And from the crossover we have a leak, Emma Frost is stuck in her Diamond form,at least for the time. Hopefully the stories will be intrigueing.

On the Necrosha front. We have had a preview where the players have been set. My only question is, doesn't Blink seem out of place. I could have sworn she died in this reality during the phalanx covenant back in '93. i could be wrong,granted i liked her from the limited stories she has been in this time line.
