Android may be a new platform, but that doesn't stop it from having tons of options for posting to Twitter. Ron Richards looks at 3 Twitter apps, Twitli, Twidroid and iTweet and cuts through the 140 characters to find you the best app.

Not sure if id consider android a new platform anymore (good thing). Nice show, it has quite a bit more polish than the last android episode. Keep it up and... get a new shirt. I personally don't tweet all that much, it's not used around my circles. IMO he should get a myTouch 3G asap (and put a skeleton skin to make the iphone drewl), or hunt down an HTC hero(more powerful) from europe.

How did you guys make the phone's Twitli app show itself in New York instead of California? I wondering if he's actually doing the show in new york and uploading to Rev3 headquaters or if its just a proxy to a New York server.

im liking the featurse nad the organization. But the color theme on that is just disgusting. Maybe its just me, but it looks like a reiteration of 80's green. If they were trying to match with the twitter default color, they failed miserably. I just noticed that that blue is the blue you see a lot on Japanese ads and websites, non coencidentially the author of the program is japanese. Wonder if to the japanese that blue is another blue. Oh well, guess we'll never know.

There's a new Twitter app called swift that is going to be amazing if it keeps going at it's current rate. It's less than 175k and has almost all of the features that twidroid has. (It's still in beta, but it's available in the market.)

The most notable feature is lacking right now is the ability to send DM, but that's coming soon - from the dev's web site.

I'd be curious to see what Ron had to say about the new Twidroid update. There is a free and pay version, I'm using the free... because I'm well cheap. The free version seems to be less of a hog than the last one... although it may be in combination of Cyanogen.

I really hope Tweeteev is not vaporware, looks like it will be a great Twitter app
