So Fan expo Toronto is this week and i am hoping to go see the tron panel. I was wondering though how early should I show up to it? I have never been to a panel and I do not know.
It depends on the popularity of the panel, but as the iFanboys say in their con video show: Plan on showing up really early and plan on it taking most of your day to wait in line and participate in it. You'll probably just have to make a judgement based on how many people on their and the interest in Tron.

I remember at the recent New York Comic Con, I stood online to see the Venture Bros. panel for almost 1 1/2 - 2 hours. I wasn't even planning to go wait at the time, I was just passing by and noticed that people were already lining up, so I just jumped on. The line a few minutes before the panel has massive!
I'm going to guess this Tron panel is pretty massive too, I think it was quite popular at the other cons. Be sure to make checks throughout the day as to when the line is forming so you get a good seat and arent all the way in the back.

A tit for your tat: If you plan your whole day out *AROUND* who you want to see and what panels you'll be participating/spectating then even spending two whole days on those things won't ruin the con for you. Just something I learned from experience at Emerald.

Thanks for the info guys, I went to the panel around 1 hour before. I was near the front of the line. But like 10 minutes after I got there the line became huge so i was lucky.

Yeah, I was there too, went to the 3:00pm panel for deluxe pass holders, I got there a half hour before and we were in the back half of the room. People were getting turned away at every panel I was at this weekend. Saturday was the craziest day. Wanted to see both Avery Brooks and Bruce Campbell, but they were back-to-back in the same Hall, and they clear the rooms after each panel, so I had to settle for just Bruce. Well worth the wait though.
Apparently they had about 60,000 attendees on Saturday, way more than they expected. It was pretty crowded.
Yeah it was bananas on Saturday, the comic panel lines were never that bad though thankfully.
