For years ive been using a Mvix 4000u video player. I transfer the shows on it then watch on my tv. The last few weeks the shows wont play, and now I notice they wont play and they also dont have sound. Ive been using miro to auto download the shows, even tried manual download and get the same results. I even have 2 Mvix boxes and its the same on both. I use the divx format. All movies I download from the internet play just fine, its just the rev 3 files. All old rev 3 files play perfectly.
Has someone changed the format for the divx files from the last few weeks?
I havent yet tried other formats as my box is picky with them.

By Divx, do you mean Xvid? Have you tried one of the other container formats your media player supports, such as the MP4 / Quicktime files?

I have also had problems with the xvid format not playing properly in the past few weeks. It will play but glitches and freezes on my mp3 player, Miro & VLC. It also seems to be lacking timing information as ff or rew will cause the video to skip back to the start and be even more glitched.
Downloading a different format will fix my issue, but it does not fix the problem.

We made some changes to our Xvid encoding a few weeks ago. The change must've broke compatibility. We'll investigate.

I've been having issues with the last few episodes on mythtv as well. My mythtv box auto grabs the xvid large feeds as episodes are released, and the last few diggnations have played all stuttery and weird. Every other show i watch this way (Tekzilla, Totally Rad Show, Hak5) do not have this problem. Hope it gets sorted soon, thanks.

I take that back, Now the latest episode of Tekzilla has the problem as well.
I am having similiar problem with all xvid files from trs, diggnation, hdnation, hak5 and tekzilla. The files play ok on my computer or stream from computer to computer, but when I stream from my computer to my xbox 360 it freezes and the audio is garbled almost like static interference. I prefer to stream the shows to my xbox 360 and watch them on my TV. Any suggestions besides changing file formats?
Thanks
Leo

Yeah I've had problems with a few shows this week when streaming to 360(Tekzilla and Film Riot), and I'm pretty sure all of them are the MP4 versions.
