Hello, I am hoping there are some Rev3 people on here that can answer my question. I am starting to get into video editing and my biggest problem is compression size, I have yet to find a good balance between size & quality. My question is what QuickTime settings (the Large H.264 version) are used in compression for web download? The quality is great and only weighing in at 400MB is a great size compared to what I'm cranking out right now.

I'm not a pro but I'll try and help you.
First off you will want an encoder that can do quality based encoding.
Last time I checked, Nero Recode 2 or whatever its called had the best quality out of all the h.264 (avc) encoders.

Your results will vary from the Diggnation episodes because the image in the podcasts hardly changes, that makes it easier on the encode and the filesize smaller.

If that didn't help you much you could always check out the doom9 forums. www.doom9.net

There are little to no Rev3 people that post on here. Kevin posted earlier in the month but haven't seen him post since. The only person that really posts regularly is John from (was from) Geekdrome.

I have both QuickTime Pro and Final Cut.
