How do i disable BIOS Shadowing on my Dell Dimension 8300? I cannot find the option to disable it anywhere in the setup menu. Can someone tell me step by step how to disable it??

Sometimes pressing Control and an F key (i.e. F9) whilst in the main screen of the BIOS reveals hidden options.

Disable the bios (basic input output system). hmm that's a good one. If I disabled the bios on my machines they would not boot.
You must just mean the shadowing. To get into bios is usually <delete>, <f1>, <f2>, or <f10>. Should be in the system or mb manual for in the docs on the mb maker site. On newer machines you may have to be fast to catch it.

I don't think this applies in this instance, but something to watch out for, a number of the latest Dell computers use EFI.

EFI? How would that affect it?

Michael Dell wanted to sell machines with Apple Mac os not so many years back. I wonder if this is a peek into the future. Would the you know what hit the fan in Redmond if Dell did. Anyway I see all kind of security problems with efi. One reason, I will not own a newer mac. Also too much potential for drm and etc.
