I have a 24 inch Gateway monitor that has failed. I believe it is the power supply. Does anyone know where I can get the parts to fix it

Most likely Gateway is going to be your only source.

What model is it?

Yes, check your warranty! Of all the years as a tech, Gateway gave me the best support and the least hassle. One time we had a bad old fashioned crt, and they replaced it with a lcd and threw in a extra keyboard and mouse to boot. Dell never did anything like that for me (us).

Failing this, buy the same model of monitor that has a broken screen.

I contacted Gateway, they were absolutely no use. it is an LP2407, FPD2485W. I hate to just pitch it but I think it will cost me more to fix it than replace it.

Sorry to hear that. I looked up the specs on it and it looks like a darned good monitor.

Have tried to open up the monitor to check if there is a fuse on the powersupply.

Worth a try, seems like you have nothing to lose if you have no warrenty left anyway.

Fixed a monitor just 2 weeks ago, just a blown fuse, cost almost no money at all.

does the monitor start up or its totally dead, like it gets no power? Then its worth a try.
