Yes. But do a search locally too. B&M stores need support too.

I never heard of B&M, I tried searching for it and I did not find anything.
I would like to support local retailers but Im not paying 50 bucks for monster cables.

Most will tell you that Monster cables are a complete rip-off. They are no better than any other cable, but costs a LOT more. Blue Jean is a great option, as is monoprice.

You don't need monster cable (although I do buy spools of their speaker wire for running in-wall/crawlspace connections). HDMI is digital. Provided the plugs are secure, all should be OK.
I am almost ashamed to say this, but go check the prices at WalMart. If they have what you want, their prices generally are pretty good (and they have a terrific return policy).

Mono price and blue jeans cable will both give you a great experience and quality product. The Mono price cables are slightly lower priced and please do NOT listen to the previous post. Walmart will be at least twice the price as either of the afformentioned places. The ONLY reason I go to a brick and mortar store is if I must have a cable for an install and can't wait to order one.

This may vary by area, but in central Indiana Walmart's HDMI cable prices are effing ridiculous.

Ignore Viper.
The price of Bluejeans cable and a similar quality cable at Walmart is about the same (look it up)... noone figures in the cost shipping and handling when comparing prices (express shipping will cost more). If you can put up with Walmart - it has the instant gratification that will get you up and running today.
Monoprice are significantly cheaper, but I have heard that they have had connector issues you dont get through the bluejeans cables. If you need to return a cable, a retailer you can walk into will be a lot easier to do.
And if you want to believe the hype, bluejeans have cables significantly more expensive than a local B&M store (even more $$$ than a monster cable).
FWIW - if you need a non standard length, or something more esoteric than what you are currently looking for, bluejean is definitely the way to go. I am going to be running cable through walls for a wallmount LCD soon and will be using them for the inwall cables.

Tokenuser, giving love to the B&M! The prices are dropping in stores so check around. Places that have in house brands and such are the best, but unfortunately for the bigger "consumer electronics" stores monster and then some other cable half that price are your only options, which are like davmoo says, effing ridiculous!

I found two cables that were close to blue jeans prices on Walmart's website. They were able to ship them to a store of my choice (witch is a hassle). If I am going to order online why would I not order from a cheaper and better source? I did a check for in store cables within a 100 mile radius and there were ZERO stores that carried them and I live in an area where there are dozens of Walmarts' inside a 100 mile radius. The blue jeans cables are better quality for less price, PERIOD! The ones that were anywhere near blue jeans prices in store were almost double! AND, you have to pay tax on top of that. I understand you have a lot of posts on here and you think you are an expert in the field but you are WRONG. Maybe you work for a B&M store and are just trying to save your job I don't know.

Am I an expert in the field? No. I am a prosumer, and in the process of cabling our home theater setup (and hardwiring ethernet) at our new house (and have done so at two other houses in the past). I have no reason to push one solution over another - because both are good options (a fact you seem to ignore from my post above).
Ignoring the B&M stores (and I was using Walmart as an example because every town has one) is poor ... and I was able to find RCA HDMI cables listed in 3 local Walmarts - within a 15 min drive. Your local experience might vary - but in my town it is a viable option. Not a fan of Walmart?? Too "low rent trailer trash" for you? How about Sears ... $11.99 for a 10' cable.
Yes, you pay tax at a B&M ... and if you are in the same state as where an online retailer is based you pay tax there as well ... but at a B&M you don't pay S&H and can often walk out of the store with it. For the bluejeans cable shipping add about $6 to the basic cable price for standard shipping and have to wait for it to arrive.

I'm going to say stick to monoprice, or maybe parts-express. I've had three from monoprice and four from parts-express, and absolutely no issues from either. There's no reason to pay even $10 a cable, and it's easier to have spares on hand when they're so cheap.

In what way is the quailty better?
Bluejeans cables have better connectors and the cable it's self is higher quality. Monoprice are standards compliance but they do not go the distance with build quality the way Bluejeans do. In short better connects and Bluejeans cable should have higher bandwidth levels.

That's like saying Monster is better quality :/
If it meets standards then it works 100% for the purpose. There is no "going beyond" at this point.

Here is another cheap HDMI website I found http://www.accstation.com/hdmi13.html
Same company but on the ebay page
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Premium-1-3-Gold-6-ft-HDMI-Cable-for-1080p-PS3-HDTV_W0QQitemZ370227626949QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_De faultDomain_0?hash=item56334943c5&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14
It almost seems too good to be true.... I cant seem to find it saying hdmi 1.3 category 2 but... it does say hdmi 1.3b though.......
Are there 1.3b hdmi cables that are not category 2 ?
Ya I know what someone was saying about B&M but I am not finding anywhere those prices in the Chicago-land area.

"should have higher bandwidth levels" . .but do they?
Maybe something for the HD nation people to test in the show. Diffrent types of cables, what is said on the box and what is actually true.
I know an old Systm episod waaay back, they talked about cables, "make your own monster cables", they talked about the diffrence, would be nice to update that with all the new standards that has come out since then. ... but to bad... systm is dead.. still maybe something for HD nation anyway..
The connectors, as long as they dont fall out and complies with the standard format i.e. they fit, its hard to do a "better" connector in my opinion, but I havnt seens the diffrence and I'm likely not going to... not gonna order cables from the states to europe *Lol*
but still curious.

judaz, your comment is probably the best response I've had when this discussion comes up.
As for connectors, when it comes to cable the signals can only flow as fast as the weakest conductor. Which is why some brands use & advertise gold even though it's pointless. There are also ways that the connectors can be made to keep a tight connection also talked about in that episode of system.
A company did a test on the cable quality. Check page 2 for Blue Jeans test resutls.

CNet recommends Monoprice in a couple of articles and I've used them quite a bit. With an HDMI signal, if it meets the HDMI spec, I'm not sure what increased bandwidth is really doing for you.I just ran 3 monoprice 15 ft CL2 cables behind drywall and spent a day fishing them through the studs. There is no way I want to spend another day replacing cable so If I thought it would make any difference I'd spend the money and run blue jeans cable, monster etc. However, I was perfectly comfortable with the Monoprice HDMI cables. I did run Belden 1694A for component (way overkill) but reinforces the point, I didn't want to redo the work.
Bottom line, Monoprice cables will work just fine.
FYI, when I purchased a plasma at B&M store recently, the had to swap an HDMI cable from Monster because it was not compatible with the current HDMI spec and wouldn't display the output of a bluray player. The $100 they wanted for the cable that worked was more than I spent on 9 HDMI cables, and a few wall plate connectors w/shipping at monoprice.
