I have a nice 1080I projector in my living room collecting dust right now. I was going to build an ubuntu rig out of used parts but I cant seem put anything together that will boot up. I'm in need of something i'll be able to hook up to my projector (dvi). I have a nice pair of jbl speakers hooked up to an av receiver for audio. I just need the cheapest solution I can get for the video. I've got a mac pro in another room that I would love to stream my media from, but I dont have wifi. I would consider buying a wireless router if there was some sort of cheap streaming solution though. I know they've had something like this on tekzilla but I remember everything being pretty expensive. I'm looking to spend under 100$.
