When it comes to calibrating my HDTV I had a question. For a 1080p TV is it worth getting a blue-ray calibration disc or will a standard DVD work? I ask because in order to calibrate with the blue-ray I'd have to barrow my neighbor’s PS3. Not a big deal as I do it all the time but annoying when I already have an Xbox 360 connected. Also I'd have to go buy the blue-ray. I have numerous movies with built in calibration tools on DVD. Just wondering if a blue-ray would have more options and be a better choice than the DVD. Any advice is appreciated.

It's hardly worth doing until you have a bluray player...

Just want to toss in a great way to start the calibration process. If you go to AVS Forums and search for your TV make and model and the word "calibration" it if very likely that some folks have already gone through the process and give suggested settings. If you get a number of them, you can get some ideas of where to start and then just tweak from there for your individual environment, taste, etc. It is a great shortcut.
