Snow Leopard & Time Machine

So I just got my copy yesterday and went to install but I get an error telling me it can't install on my hard drive because that's the drive used to make Time Machine backups.

Anyway, it then goes on to tell me I need to restore my drive from my Time Capsule or some such nonsense and I'm thinking "is this thing going to wipe out my hard drive?"

I'm wondering if I just disconnect my Time Capsule and reconnect it after the install will bypass this?

Anyone have similar issues? Am I being overly paranoid?

I think I'm going to arrange a phone appt. with Apple and have them hold my hand while I do the install. Sounds a little ridiculous but I'm terrified of accidentally wiping my hard drive clean.

Anyway, I'll post an update should anyone care one it's done.
