Howdy,
I've been a fan of this show since the first episode. However, there is one small section of it that deeply irritates me.
The sponsor cut-ins.
Not funny. Not a single bit. Every time I watch that **** I feel a deep sorrow for mankind. Humour is a beautiful thing, but the spasmodic cut-ins defame it, rape it and send it to hell.
Please, give ROFL regular commercials like in the other shows

Yeah I agree. They're a bit lame and makes me just skip them.

Really? I actually find them somewhat addicting. They just feel so... awkward... it's kind of enjoyable and refreshing from some of the other shows that literally use the same segment every episode.

Totally agree with this.

wow i thought i was alone in my hatred for the commercials! the one girl who TALKS REALLY HIGH PITCHED AND ACTS LIKE SHES 7 YEARS OLD IS REALLY REALLY obnoxious. and the paint-by-numbers red head indie girl who always talks about not wearing pants...jesus. like 2 out of all of the ads are funny, but the rest just piss me off and i thusly skipp them. i honestly just for these reasons alone, would never use any rofl codes

This is the one you're talking about right?:

I don't get annoyed but rather a little depressed. I can't help but to think she has down syndrome or some other serious disability like that...
I'ts not much of a stretch to say they are using 'retarded' as a sales gimmick. Whether she really is or not, I'ts a fine line I don't think the show should be trying to walk.

Sure as hell is nice to see other people agreeing on this.
Maybe an answer from rev3 ? :p

I was coming in this forum just to see if anyone else hates these dumb ads as much as me, and yup, found this thread. Thought I'd add two voices to it - my wife's and mine. Especially her up there.. Wow. So annoying. And none of them are funny. Especially the domain name ones - you can see that coming a mile away. I'd rather see a constant banner ad down the side or across the bottom, or hell, all around the screen, rather than have the dumb cut-ins.
No offense to the people doing these, even though Andy really really gets on my nerves.

Guess I'm the lone man out that thinks Andy Erikson is both funny and hot (checked her out on other sites, great style and a unique sense of humor). Also the the mock "unity" commercial where the Jewish guy carries in the gay guy is great. Some of the commercial cut-ins aren't that funny though so I get how some folks find them annoying but they're improvised, they're not all gonna be great.
A better pic of Andy

And geez lay off the Andy hate, check out some of her actual stand-up and you'll probably be change your opinion of her completely.

Dude, her stand-up may be fine - that isn't the issue here. It's the annoying ads, and not just by her. Hers just happen to be the worst of the bunch, for whatever reason.
Also, that hand don't look right...

this, this, 1000x this. she is annoying as hell. all the ads are terrible, these people arent actors so when they try to act and scripted it comes off really bad. should stick to regular ads.
also whoever writes the popup quotes before the bit, feels like bob saget americas funniest home videos commentary.

I think Andy Erikson is not retarded but rather quite delightful and funny (also hot).
As for the ads, when I first saw them it threw me off but I look forward to them now.
Especially that black people one.

I've seen her few of her stand-up; although I do find some of it funny, I still don't find the reason purposely speaking the way she does. If you can't make people laugh with your joke without exaggerating your voice like she does, then it's not so funny after all.
Instead of appearing as a comedian on these cut-ins, they should just appear as the staff running the show. Talk from experience on how these services has helped them, instead of trying to make a joke about it.
A lot of them are talented comedians. But these cut-ins just shows otherwise.

I came to this section of the forum just to see if anyone else hates these sponsor segments as much as I do and alas...
Andy Erikson is hot and quite funny as her standup goes but her sponsor segments are annoying...but it's not her fault.
ALL OF THE SPONSOR SEGMENTS ARE HORRIBLE
I wish they would just talked about the sponsors like the other shows do rather than trying to be funny with these stupid tacky bits.
The show itself is good for the most part and it introduced me to some comedians that I really liked so much so that I went and searched for more of them but the segments are so irritating that my enjoyment of the standup bits is constantly at war with my hatred of the sponsor segments.

I watch a LOT of Rev3 shows (most of 'em in fact) and I watch every sponsor they do. That is to say until I started watch ROFL. The comedians are funny and I often find myself actually laughing out loud to them, however when it comes to the sponsor segments I just get annoyed at how bad they are. Not funny, and yes, I agree, the girl has to have down syndrome or something. TERRIBLE.

I also want to ad in to the sponsor thing, but they seem to have fixed it now, but the Andy girl was the most annoying, didn't anyone filming it notice that? Film Riot has the best ads IMO though. Especially the creepy netflix one. Though the ads are wasted on me. None of them provide services to China :P

Just wanted to put out a big "THANKS" to Rev3 now that they've changed the ad format! I actually just let them play now where before I skipped them.
Thanks.
