Hi,
Any chance of seeing some coverage for Natural Selection 2 on Bytejacker? It's an Sci-Fi RTS/FPS Mash-Up sequel to their 2002 Half-Life 1 mod, which has remained as one of the most played HL mod since.
Now the sequel is due out in the next few months (for $20, so it fits the show's target budget). Would love to see it on the show, since it's a textbook example of independent game-makers creating a successful business out of a free release just like the ones on your show.
Here's the link:

Loved the first episode - Looking out for some NS2 coverage in the future.

So when it's released you pay for it and download it, right? I'm guessing so, though if not it won't be on the show of course.

Yep, $20 USD as a digital download. They may have something set up with Steam as well if things go to plan.

Well, it's possible to be shown on Bytejacker though I don't think Bytejacker does mods.

Nah, it's a stand-alone game. On it's own in-house engine nonetheless

That's a possible mention in Bytejacker then, I take it?

Dude, there was that whole episode of Quake 2 mods. Remember Gravity Bone? I, personally, will never forget Gravity Bone, no matter how I try...

Oh. ._.
Oddly enough, no, I don't recall that too well. Well, at least this resolves the issue regarding mods, though I still think they prefer not to focus on mods too much.

Here's the episode where we covered games that were made from mods.

Oh right, Gravity Bone was the block-head thingy. Unfortunately, Gravity Bone never worked on my computer, probably because of my poor RAM. Shame, as it looks fantastic.
Somehow I didn't remember there being an episode on mods, possibly because it didn't mention too often that it was all mods so I didn't memorize it from January.

I only installed Parallels on my Mac when Pandaland was on the show so suddenly I felt inspired to play the Windows games that seemed awesome I could never touch and Gravity Bone was hands-down the absolute greatest by far. I only remembered the Quake mods episode because it struck me as being so odd/rad that three games that were all so drastically different in their aesthetic and style (outside of being first-person) were all using the same popular engine. Not like console games now where Batman: Arkham Asylum looks like a reskin of Gears of War.

I'm hoping that unlocking all the achievements in the game will allow me to play as Marcus Phoenix, or Coltrain. Imagine Coltrain fighting Bane, they're practically the same size only Coltrain would scream WOOOOOOO every time Bane smashes into a wall . . . . . that'd be awesome!
A guy can dream can't he?
