Some of the XKCD readers out there may know this site already, but for the rest, you need to check out TV Tropes. It is like a mix of wikipedia and crack. Basically, it breaks down all those recurring TV characters, themes and plots into snappy synopses. You will not be able to stop reading, so I'm warning you now - you'd better have a spare hour or two.
