View Full Version : An impossible trick (Caution: involves smoking)
As i reread some of my books full of favorite bar bets, i come across one i havent seen around very much at all and seems perfectly impossible. The bet is simple. "I bet you 10$ (or a beer) that i can light a cigarette, take 3 drags, knock the ash off, and it will be the same length as when i started."
I will reveal the secret, but lets see how good y'all are at figuring out a puzzle. It involves some lateral thinking, but im confident in your powers of deduction. Post your theories, ill reveal the secret to winning a bit later.

I'm very intrigued. Can't think of any way off the top of my head. Maybe there's some trick to the wording?

It isnt a trick to the wording, its all in the way you light your cigarette. Granted, this is a bit of an old trick that doesnt quite work anymore since theres no smoking in most bars anymore. To win, light the cigarette about 2/3 - 1/2 the way down from the end. take your drags and then knock the ash off lightly so you dont bend or break the cigarette. I might try to make and post a video soon.
