Ernie Anastos, keep fu**ing that chicken! Hilarious parody video for Windows 7 launch party, water found officially on the moon, Lily Allen gets attacked for being a pirate DJ, and a billion dollar yacht with an anti-paparazzi shield!
Watch or Download Here (http://revision3.com/diggnation/newshoes)
Finally back in rare form and funny. Discuss.

Funny show. But it's kind of frustrating when the guys clearly haven't read or even understood a story they're talking about. Lily Allen took down her pro-copyright blog, not a pro-piracy blog from years ago. She had a tantrum and claimed she was quitting the music biz... then announced more shows (like the Big Day Out festivals all around Australia) a couple of days later. She's outrageously hypocritical.

Yeah that was seriously annoying me, they got that story completely wrong.
They need to READ stuff before the show.
It rendered the discussion useless.
Really enjoyed this episode, Alex was on point today.
But seriously, does Kevin know any artist besides Radiohead and NIN? Everytime they talk about music piracy, he always has to reference them and talk about how much better they are then anyother artist because they give it away. And what they both do is awesome, great and I love it, but I'm sorry, both Trent Reznor and Radiohead can headline festivals and sellout stadiums, you think Joe Indie Band sees the same kind of checks when they play to a couple hundred people in a tiny venue. His argument is so stupidly flawed. I really don't see how he thinks he has the right to ask for things for free or they should give it away, even from an successful established artist.

yea. I think Kevin brings it up because both are vastly different than the other artists, and part of the reason they are different is because they have a massive collection of fans and have previously made tons of money... which I agree, his argument is stupidly flawed. It'd be like if Nintendo decided to give away the next Mario game and then someone applauded them and acting like they were taking a revolutionary step that every company should do.

Love how glenn's name was put over the editor's credits... now maybe people will get it through their thick heads that glenn only shoots the show and does not edit it ;)

eh... a decent episode. Altho the "Fing a chicken" story is 3-4 weeks old now. They also totally missed the reference... the PUN on Frank Perdue's "It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken" slogan.. to wanting to say Plucking a chicken but saying the other word.
I kinda like the Vibrum shoes, but not the "open" model that Kevin has.. I liked the KSO or Flow models.

Agreed. The reason I wear shoes is so I don't feel every little crack, stick, and pebble I step on.

I was hoping for more FunnyTivoFace's of Kevin but he is almost impossible when he isn't drinking! Stop it with the tea guys! Oh well, just check out some past Diggnation FTF's here (http://www.funnytivoface.com/category/60.html). And submit (http://www.funnytivoface.com/contribute/) some of Kevin!
P.S. Alex I like your sign off: "Until next time, Gonorrhea!" hahahaha THE BEST!

On another note, I'm getting sick of seeing videos on The Digg Reel, and then again on Diggnation. "Keep Fucking That Chicken" was on LAST WEEK'S Digg Reel!

the vibrams are amazing shoes! I love feeling every little crack and pebble. It's like walking barefoot which is much better for your feet and posture. Especially for running, there is no scientific evidence that shows the fancy springs and air cushion prevents injuries or is otherwise beneficial to the feet. However, there is research that shows the opposite.
On another note, I find it odd that Kevin's cleaning people also wash his clothes.

My brother's wife has a cleaning service come in that do laundry as well, so it doesn't seem that odd to me.

I just found it a odd that he had a cleaning service at all. As far as the shoes, I like the idea of walking barefoot but it just won't work, at least where I live. Too much shit, rocks, pebbles, gunk, broken glass, and who knows what else.

Eh, he's a busy guy. And who wouldn't want someone to clean your house for you? If we had it in the budget, my wife and I would love to have a monthly cleaning service.

You aren't getting the point of the shoe. Watch this video: http://vimeo.com/3755989 and then read this: http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2009/05/07/vibram-five-fingers-shoes/

How many mw do you think those laser pointers Kevin had?

You do know that Kevin tried to use the fact that you feel the earth, cracks, pebbles and all with the shoes as a SELLING point. Most people can understand the point of the shoe, that doesn't mean they want to feel the pebbles and shit.

The cleaning service thing might the lowest point in Diggnation history. If your house is too big to clean...get a smaller house. And the laundry too? How can you be a grown man and have trouble putting on your sheets!?!

Yes of course I heard that. The idea is to strengthen your foot, if you don't want pebbles and cracks then just avoid them. You can use them on a treadmill as well.

You cannot be serious. What makes you think he wouldn't get a cleaning service if his house was smaller? Here's how he can do it: He has the money. Besides 140 dollars every 2 weeks is not bad to have your house always cleaned and your laundry done.

depending on where you live, there is no avoiding them or other hazards like broken glass... and yes, you could only use it while on a treadmill, but then why bother getting the shoes? wouldn't going barefoot be better? Plus, before these shoes and this talk, I didn't know that I should want to strengthen my feet, news to me.
The cleaning service thing, I think many people find it odd because they don't have a cleaning service. Based on Alex's face, he thought it was a bit odd too. Honestly, I don't blame Kevin, if I could afford to hire someone to clean my place every 2 weeks, I totally would.

Cleaning services are very popular, especially among older (and relatively rich) people. And most of them wash and put away laundry I think.

Going to get a pair of these myself, been on my list for a while, nice to see kevin is already enjoying the benefits.
When you think about it the foot was not designed to be constrained by a shoe, and when one is worn it alters the way we walk and stand, one of the reasons there are so many people with back problems?
Anyway. def going for a pair myself, if in doubt just read all the reviews on the web.

How is that a good argument for buying a different kind of shoe? Why not just go barefoot, like, according to you, the foot was designed for.

Well because there is no heel on these "shoes" they are as close as you can get without actually going barefoot. (Which is not always possible) They are designed so that your own arch supports your weight, like it is supposed to.
There as close to barefoot as is practical.
Ps, according to you, the foot was designed for
Not just me, that's evolution or a deity take your choice.

He can read, he just can't speak and read at the same time! I have a close friend who can't walk and talk at the same time.
