hey all

So, I have a 3 year old Pro 360 model (returned once for RROD)

Anyways, I have been playing on my 22in widescreen LCD computer monitor via the VGA hookup this whole time to get my 360 HD gaming goodness. Recently we have bought a new house with the holy grail of rooms, at least as far as I am concerned....the elusive BONUS ROOM.

To make a long story short its huge and will be my own nerdy gaming/movie paradise, and with it comes a new panasonic 50in plasma 1080p HDTV. The TV has all the hook ups, component, HDMI, and VGA. Which one would give me the best performance for my 360?

My only options are component and VGA since this model does not have the HDMI out.

Thanks to one and all for any advice!

Component and VGA are virtually the same in terms of quality, I think. Since you have such a beautiful TV, I'd probably sell the Xbox you have and put that money towards an Xbox Arcade system which is only $199 and does have the HDMI output so you can take full advantage of your TV. But you may not want to do that since a new Xbox may be just around the corner(?)

Also, I was at a Bose store, and I was blown away by their PC/media center speaker packages. That would make your media really sound good. Even the $129(?) package was awesome.

well, I just found out that on the new 50g10 panasonic plasmas the VGA only displays at 1388x880, so not anywhere near full 1080p so I am going to go with component until I get a new elite 360
