I'm looking for a nice reading app for the Android OS like the ereader or kindle for the iphone. does anyone know of a nice one?

I've just got onto these today, and can tell you that I've looked at two already...FBReader and Aldiko Book Reader.
I first tried Aldiko, and found that it's 'bookcase'-style interface was pleasant enough to look at, FBReader won it for me with it's simplicity, but customizeable setup features. Also, FBReader has support for more file formats.
I'm using FBreader now, and I think it's wonderful.
I just wish I could find more up-to-date free epub sites!!!
