Anyone playing this? If so how do you like it? I am really into it hardcore right now even though it is throw the controller at the tv hard at times. Co-op is a blast, PvP was fun but I felt guilty after killing someone so only tried that once. I wonder if he threw his controller when I finished him? Besides some annoying connection issues, like getting booted from co-op 3 times in a row right as the 1-2 boss dies, I am thoroughly enjoying it.

My buddy bought three copies (import, then two North American copies, one for each of his PS3s) so he's gonna send me one (import). I hate hard games, but I really wanna try this one. Atlus tells me there's no plans for a demo, and I live in a really small town, I don't even know if the one rental place 20 minutes away even has it in yet. I am expecting I'll play it for an hour or less before giving up, but who knows.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of games that are known to be hard. With the addition of invading a game, it's a tough sell for me. Lack of any engrossing storyline doesn't help either. But I love a good loot game!

There's a good amount of hype that I want to at least try it, so it makes me sad to hear of no demo... Hell, I never even heard of the game until its release came with high review scores, and everyone who does play it seems to be enjoying it.

If there weren't so many games coming out soon, I wouldn't mind spending the cash to try it.

Lack of any engrossing storyline doesn't help either.

This bothers me. I love that games can tell a story, without relying on cutscenes or a lot of dialogue. Ever played Left 4 Dead? Games should be all about the world you're in filling the details, and you're thrown into the mix trying to figure it all out. Make up your own story.

But yeah, why I'm hyped to try this out (and wish I had a PS3)? First, it's a challenging combat RPG, and there hasn't been many recently like Too Human. I want to prove that I could play this game. Much like Ninja Gaiden. Second, it's from FROM SOFTWARE. They're the creators of my childhood games. TENCHU, hell yeah! :D

GiantBomb did a quick look, and the overall impression seems to be that there are a few good ideas that are in an un-fun and punishing game.

From all the videos I have seen, I would agree with them.

Yeah, I get a real sense they didn't think things through. I have both the US version and the import, and in the import one you can do a glitch to get an infinite amount of souls with which you could level up every single stat in the game. It still doesn't help much. You do get more health, more MP, more stamina to run, but I never noticed spells or attacks doing more damage, which is quite a problem in a game like this.

Other thing that annoys me (but is mainly a problem for trophy seekers) would be the whole World Tendency and Character Tendency. It's such a convoluted system it gives me headaches to think about.

Also the farming for items bit, not particularly fond of that either, in any capacity.

So far I am really enjoying Demon's Souls. Yes, it's hard as hell. Ninja Gaiden Sigma was easier than Demon's Souls...at least to me.

This game puts me in the mind of Oblivion. I really enjoyed Oblivion but could not get past the visuals. Demon's Souls has a lot in common with Oblivion, but a lot differs as well.

I would recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG's and do not mind hard games.

I can't stop playing this game... I took a break to play through uncharted 2 but now I'm right back to Demon's Soul's.
