Why? Why must you ruin a perfect show? Why must you mercilessly steal my weekly 10 minutes of fun? Why must you turn my delicious diaphragm exercise into a mental rage? Why?

Because of the 'ooh soo terrible curse words'? Because they are hurting you poor fragile hypocritical dbag ears? Yes? Then why don't you beep them completly? Why must you let that first letter slide?

Is that just some perverted sadistic feeling that you have? Is that just to torture the ones that are not made of brown sugar? Or is that to please them saying: 'hey pal, i've beeped this curse word but not entirely so you know what it is that he's saying, goi it ;)'. Is this it?

Well, then I must warn you, either way, you're probably going to lose those people quite quickly. For listening to beeping every 2 minutes is more like a torture.

P.S.:
I don't love the show anymore.

i had a revision3 forum account for a year now, never used it until now (look how old my account is, my avatar is a picture me with the GEEKDROME guys, now thats ancient). Im super pissed that they started censoring the show. i looked for perhaps an un edited version but no!!! are they doing this to any other shows? like Diggnation or TRS? havent listened to TRS yet but who knows now.

shits gay, im going to unsubscribe because they really did ruin the "stand up comedy" experience.

I haven't used my account in years, and I love ROFL.

I came back just to express how bad of an idea beeping curse words is. If you beep curse words, people will not watch comedy. This isn't a TV channel controlled by government agencies, therefore there are no requirements for bleeping.

If you beep out curse words, this show will gradually fall off Revision3. If you want to beep out curse words, please make an uncensored version for registered members.

Please keep the show and do NOT bleep curse words. I sure hope this doesn't become the case with other shows like Diggnation.

perhaps this was an error on their side. they do a show with Hulu and perhaps they accidentally edited in bleeped segments. i would like SOMEONE who deals with the show to come here and tell us whats up, this forum is dead as fuck

I have to agree - I enjoy ROFL because it's the closest thing to a real comedy club experience. Don't bleep the words, please. Don't try to be TV.

Americans are funny. The idea that bleeping out words that every ten year old knows makes jokes about mature sex, retarded people getting guns, and getting kids for spare parts being considered "clean" is somewhat amusing.

This is the Internet, you don't need to follow the old hypocritical rules for broadcast TV.

I am so annoyed by this that I registered an account here just to let you know. Please fix. Unsubscribing for now, but I will miss the show and return once this adult show will treat us as such.

Edit: Just noticed that the show still carries the explicit tag in iTunes. Which makes the bleeps all the more confusing.

I think it is a stupid idea to censor this show, and I'm going to unsubscribe. Also, why is it just 10 minutes long? Do you really think that we have such a short attention span and that your shows should be only 10 minutes long? Bogus man...

I really enjoyed the show for some time, then the bleeping started... what a waste. I am unsubscripted now.If you decide to make the show worth watching again, feel free to put out an email.

I, too, saved time by checking to see if ROFL is still censored before downloading more episodes.

Why hasn't anyone from revision3 even commented on the censorship?

Why bother censoring this? It's not like it makes a joke about taking such excruciating shits that you count them as exercise SFW or ok for kids. Just because the FCC feels that TV needs to be bleeped, doesn't mean an internet show does. At the very least make some kind of statement explaining why you feel the need to censor shows at all (almost every Rev3 show starts out censored and gradually loses the beep, which makes no sense at all)

the beeping isn't that annoying to me but I do see it as pointless since the other shows don't censor what they say except for TRS who try to censor themselves but they dont actually beep the words out when they use curse words.

The most annoying thing about the censoring of ROFL is that the subject matter is already of an ADULT nature....I mean for F-beep-'s sake the latest episode, 38, had stuff about RAPE! How is that not adult nature and why censor the F-beep-ing show?

(yea I beeped myself, to amuse myself.)

I would also like to voice my opinion on the new censorship. I find it very annoying. A lot of times I listen to ROFL in the car, and usually I can guess the word from the context, but sometimes without reading the lips I am not sure what the word is.

Also, it is just kind of annoying to have the bleeps. I would rather you just show clean acts than have the annoying beeps in unclean ones.

I will also be watching this thread for some sort of official word on the censorship.

Agreed, it's not a deal-breaker for me and I'll probably keep watching.
It seems dumb to beep out the swear words because it doesn't even make the acts 'clean', some of the jokes are crude/masturbation/sexual etc and it's not like the bleeping changes that.

At first I was surprised by the hostility in this (admittedly old) thread and that people would actually un-subscribe because of it. Thinking about it, I guess it makes some sense, I think non-sensical censorship is one of the (many) little things which has driven people away from traditional TV and over to new media.

The censorship isn't a deal killer but I'm sure the reason why they are doing it is to not end up with the explicit tag on itunes... Which is stupid. Its not like a kid should be watching this just because 'shit' is magically beeped.

I really hope that it gets removed soon...

Huge sites like Youtube don't care one iota about blocking bad language - which lets it down imo.

Anyone who needs the word 'shit' bleeped out* shouldn't watch ROFL at all, at least 30% of the jokes are adult themed.

If it's about avoiding an 'explicit tag' really that's doing a disservice to the ratings systems to bleep two expletives and call it 'clean' while still including sex/masturbation/'heavy' jokes.

The cool thing about the show is it feels like a good sampling of standup, traditional standup isn't 'clean' and it's annoying to have it bleeped (and it would be even more annoying to miss out on some good jokes because they were a bit adult.

I'm not sure I even see the market for a 100% clean standup show.

Between the host and the bleeping, the show has lost its appeal. I like standup comedy, but this is just more annoying than it is enjoyable.

Yeah they need to stop bleeping stuff. and they need to get rid of the host. This show doesn't need a host at all plus the host segments aren't really funny. Just do the uncensored comedy and advertisements and it will be fine.
