Okay, I admit it. I liked the OC and watched it mostly every week. I just saw on Digg that the last episode will air on Feb. 22nd. Anyone else going to miss it at least a little bit?
Damn...I had to put this thread up after the new rating system was put in place.

I was a big fan in season 1 but that's when the show should have ended, massive downward slide in quality in seasons 2 and 3, I stopped watching somewhere in season 3.

I love The O.C. as well. I didn't watch it until last night on DVDs. Rachel Bilson... <3.
So the last episode will air day after my b-day.
I will also admit, I liked the show, I watched the other seasons. Come last season, when she died, I was like BAD MOVE.
And now look, I'm glad its off air, cause the show sucks without her, why I don't know it just does.

They had to fire her because she was constantly turning up late to the set and being uncoperative.

Funny how most of the people who like the show are the ones who aren't living in California.

Not to mention she was ugly as sin.

Malibu Shores was 10x better and cancelled with no notice at the end of the first season. With a cliffhanger. It's about time this show got cut too.

If Fox cancels a show, and noone was watching ... was it really cancelled?
At least Fox are giving the OC a chance to wrap up the series. Daybreak got canned by ABC mid season, just as it was getting interesting, but not interesting enough to keep viewers.

I liked the OC, but I think it is time for it to end. Just like Arrested Development I loved that show but how many more episodes would it stay good? I'd rather a show end when it is still good then to end when it loses its touch.
Lets all just wait for Lost to come back on :)

This makes me happy. I announced it in my calculus class the other day and a couple girls got mad.

Really I just take delight in it... but still The OC people?? Come on...
Sweet Zombie ****** we cant say b1tch??
5 points if anyone can tell me where the "Sweet Zombie Jeseus" quote is from and 10 points if you tell me why it was censored.

*suicide rate in 13-15 year old girls increases dramatically*
no offense to guys that watch the show.
Anyways, thank god that show is gone. Just watching the commercials for it turned me away from it. All it was was a crappy soap opera for teenagers. bring back firefly, or make room for more prison break:)

Okay, I understand people not liking the OC, in fact I hated it for a long time, but Prison Break is possibly the worst show ever on Television. And I am counting the OC as a horrible show.

I'm not a big fan of Prison Break either, but I wouldn't call it one of the worst shows on television.

agreed! the first season was awsome but then it got drawnout too much and it became royal crap... maby if they would have taken more time with it and actualy think out something good for a plot it would have been better... i liked season1 2 not so much and 3 was farely good...

about the only good show thats actualy made it through the seasons thats still on tv is smallvile

Its about time this show gets canceled, even if its just one episode.. Hopefully they realize the crap they're spoon feeding into kids brains. Just like that stupid show Laguna Beach. 24, however.. yes.. damn good. Jan 14th!

The OC could be really clever and subversive. Such as only having the occasional rainy episode. But it never made the full leap to parody. It tried to walk the kind of line that Buffy the Vampire Slayer did, between parodying its genre and embracing it. To me it ended up like Season 6/Season 7 Buffy, mostly humourless and unaware of its own shortcomings.

The OC is canceled?
Good, one more televisions how i don't have to hear people talking about :D
Take into account the fact that i have not watched a full television show in probably around 2 years, and hearing about them all the time can get tiring, so i have a biased opinion.

The OC has the most annoying song at the beggining of the show too... that california one haha atleast in season3 they shortened the crap so its not as long...

Dude I loved that song before it was the theme song. It's only really annoying because it's so over played.

I don't have cable. Terrestrial TV broadcast does not work in the concrete forest I live in. Is OC like Dante's Cove?
Good...
The only good things on TV are; Discovery, National Geographic and The History Channel.
Soap Operas are chewed up and regurgitated "entertainment" for a generation who have so little of interest occuring in their own lives they have to substitute their mudane exsistance with the fabricated drama of a show filled with two-bit actor hacks who couldn't make it in the movie industry. And let's be honest, nobody watches soap operas for the outstanding performances of the actors or actresses, they watch incase their favourite actor or actress just so happens to appear in skimpy clothing or perhaps none at all, and who needs that when without a shadow of a doubt you can get pictures of them on holiday with their tits out or their immense package bulging from beneath the skimpiest of speedos on the internet. Or the infamous sex tapes, should you be so inclined.
And then there's reality TV. The only reason people watch those is because the misfortune that befalls others makes for rivetting viewing. Whether it be the law or the criminal in such shows as Cops (US) or Police Camera Action (UK), we're all waiting for one or the other to **** up, one or the other to be shot, one or the other to crash. Whether it's an individual such as Shabazh (UK Big Brother) losing the plot and going mental. Michael Barrymore & Jodie Marsh (Celebrity Big Brother UK) having a go at each other over their respective mentalities.
And then, inevitably their actions, words and faces are plastered all across the nations gossip rags, newspapers, billboards and news channels, so that the few of us that don't actually watch these pathetic and moronic excuses for "entertainment" are subjected to a 24/7 bombardmant of their crap in public mediums we have no control over, anyway.
On the rare occasions I do watch TV though, I watch educational programming as much as possible (Alien Planet on Discovery was awesome). But, each to their own.

No I am not kidding I like the OC not as much as say a 15 year old school girl but I do like it enough to watch it every week. I normally don't watch shows like this let me give a short list of my favorite shows Arrested Development, Futurama, House and almost anything on Discovery and History channel.
