Where did your username come from?

Mine is the name of my clothing line... it came from a poem/song I was working on "Your love flows through me like the winds of a cold December Fall" It just kinda stuck...

Hahaha My nickname has been Klitzy for a while now because they say I look just like Klitzy in The Girl Next Door. The movie about the neighbor porn star. The one time I went to New York....I signed two autographs as him and got like 9 people just stop me on the street and tell me I look like him.

I tried to make my yahoo username alexsk8 but it was already taken, so it gave me a few suggestions and this was one of them.

Name came from hitting my head on the keyboard several times. Keep in mind that this was when I was in Jr. High. A friend of mine and I were trying to play a LAN game of Red Alert and couldn't think of usernames. So, as a solution, I hit my head on the keyboard a few times. popltree was the result. My friend got that while I was dizzy so I just used popltree2.

Hmm back in Summer/Fall of '05 the PSP started to get hacked, and I was hanging around a lot of IRC rooms waiting for it. Well I had to have a nick and the first thing I though of was anime. I think my first was MilkChan then I tried Naoto of which everyone told me I was spelling Naruto wrong :P I went through a couple other anime nicks like Tachikoma and a few female names. Eventually though I landed on Lupin and that or variations of it (Rupan Lupin ERGLupin) have followed me everywhere.

I now even use the name Lupin as what I put music out under:

and as one IRC user pointed out to me:

"Im a cool smart guy like Lupin the 3rd yet I never seem to be able to get the girl or laid..."

One day as a freshman in high school, I was sitting next to this kid and we were trying to respond to some message board somewhere on the internet and went through about 10 names that were all taken and instead of just adding numbers, the other kid came up with avcabob, saying it's what he always uses when whatever he really wanted was taken because it's never taken. Ever since then I've been using it for EVERYTHING on the internet and so far, I haven't run into another one.

A buddy of mine that I played football with in high school used to yell out "JJ All Day!" whenever I did something noteworthy and it sort of stuck as my gamer handle since then. Though, no one has ever called me JJ but him.

its a shortened version of rockhardmj or rockhardxj or rockhardzj the last 2 letters are the internal call letters for the Jeep Comanche, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee, respectively.
Rock hard has nothing to do with sexual wise, its an inside joke used to describe how I build my Jeeps, rock solid, so they dont break, but do keep going with minor, or no repair ever needed. They get their fair share of extra sheetmetal, frame/unibody strengthening, and lighting/lift and whatever else upgrades as well as new wheels and tires that are more aggressive and what not.
I am now rockhardzj on Jeep forums as thats my current project, its currently just a near stock daily driver, but I hope it will soon get a 7" clayton's long arm lift kit, 33" nitto mud grappler tires, and american racing ar-15 rims. it will be getting the unibody strengthened a bit, and the rear "station wagon" part will be getting cut off and redone into a hummer style SUV. bumpers and rock rails are in the works as well. I am a serious offroader, and do plan to eventually make it to Moab, Utah soon enough to do some wicked wheeling with it.

That was a bit of an explanation behind my name...
