I saw this as a logic puzzle on the XKCD boards, as a game you play with the devil himself. The task there was to figure out how he could beat you every time. http://forums.xkcd.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=155

I love how winning is so simple - I just do what you do, but opposite. Like 31, or Nim. I suppose you need to have an even number of each coin, right?
