So, we all have them. The show that you just love to watch, but would be embarrassed if someone found out.

What is your Biggest Guilty Pleasure show of the current season? And of all time?

I would have to say for me. I Love Glee. SSSHHHHH Dont tell any women, Im still a man, Right?

And ever: I got sucked into Days of our Lives when I was in College.

This Season:

I only picked up Community and Flash Forward, so maybe not so much this season.

But, of all time.

God help me, I followed Flavor of Love (I and II).

Flavor-Flaaaaaaaaav.

Im still a man, Right?

No. I'm sorry. You're not.

But I shouldn't criticize. I watched (and have the Vonda Shepherd soundtrack for) Ally McBeal.

My guilty pleasures are Reality shows, I love almost any reality show, Biggest Loser, Hells Kitchen, Top Chef, Survivor, Amazing Race, LPBW, Dragons Den, American Idol, ect. My DVR has more reality shows then anything else.

Project Runway.

America's Next Top Model.

It's my wife's fault. I swear.

My current and all-time guilty pleasures are the same: The Real World/Road Rules Challenge. The people who participate in these are such great characters, except that they're real(-ish). Because I hate almost everyone who has ever been on the show, I get such enjoyment watching them screw each other over (and seeing the people who come back season after season just to get screwed all over again). Ordinarily, it makes me uncomfortable watching people embarrass themselves, but I make an exception for these fools.

Extreme Home Makeover. Dead serious. I hate so much about the show, but if it's on and I ain't got nothing to do, I'm watching it.

SG1... the writing on most of the seasons is just obvious and horrible, but I keep going back.

Grey's Anatomy.

Got into the show because I took a script writing class in college right when Grey's came out and went to school that was predominantly female (aka WIN) so a lot of my classmates wrote scripts to Grey's and we screened several episodes in class. I haven't watched it all this season because Fringe moved to Thursdays and Fringe > Grey's.

Originally it was Rob and Big, but that was canceled.

Now it's Rob Dyrdeks Fantasy Factory.

A lot of folks would take exception... but TRUE BLOOD is a fun show that is often terribly written and acted.

But I am still entertained by it. So I guess it would classify as a guilty pleasure of mine.

Hmm. I don't know about guilty pleasure, but I really like Dollhouse. NCIS and NCIS LA also sort of count - not hugely original but still enjoyable. 24 too. Honestly, the only programme I can really think of is Attack of the Show. Yes, it panders to the teenage web video crowd and is pretty unabashedly sexist, but I still enjoy every episode I catch.

I have been watching Vampire Diaries with my gf because she loves anything and everything with vampires, and I have not been hating the experience.

My guilty pleasure TV show wins: Gossip Girl.

My selection would be on par with yours if it was still on the air: The O.C.

I started watching because I had a little thing for Mischa Barton which turned into a thing for Rachel Bilson which turned into a thing for Kelly Rowan. I've recovered from all that now.

the closest thing I have would be Nip/Tuck, I guess. Most people either just stare at me when I mention I STILL LOVE IT so I often 'forget' to mention it when appropriate.

sigh. I started a thread in the "general" topic on Survivor. So yeah. That. But I love forensics shows. Not the fictional ones so much. The "real" ones on courtTV or whatever they call themselves these days.

I'd have to say reality tv. I love it, but not many others do. Survivor and So You Think You Can Dance are at the top of my list.

Project Runway.

It's my wife's fault. I swear.

I'm with your there on the PR, and it is the wife's fault ... but I've come to enjoy it quite a bit and have found myself on more than one occasion criticizing the outfits of the contestants - the phrase "Hot mess" may have escaped my lips once ... ONCE!!

Another one of my wife's influences Ugly Betty I actually did enjoy - that is until the 1st half of the last season when it jumped a ugly shark with braces. Still, I find myself watching it in pieces over the top bevel of my netbook. Shame, it used to be acceptably interesting. So many shows seem to have exited the writer's strike with crappier writing.

At least none of us here watches The View ... right guys? Dan?

I am a reality show junkie.

Survivor is always on my DVR, I dabbled with The Real World and Road Rules when I was younger but drifted from their demographic and lost interest.

I can't do Biggest Loser or Big Brother ... neither have had a premise that grabbed me.

But I AM hooked on shows like Next Iron Chef, Next Design Star, Next Food Network Star, Top Chef, Chopped, etc ... and Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

I discovered "The Colony" on the On Demand settings of the DVR the other day, and that has me going at the moment.

I'm a huge fan of Top Chef, Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, but I wouldn't be embarrassed if people knew. In fact I'll watch the occasional Ace of Cakes or Cake Boss. Food-based reality TV shows for some reason are "ok" with me - if they're really a game show it works for me a bit more comfortably. I did like The Colony as well.

Reality TV is embarrassing overall, but when they are actually REAL and have interesting participants it can be good fun. I cringe at "reality" shows where it's just so obvious that the situations are contrived, the "characters" are trying too hard or that involve obvious actors - I'm looking at you Gene Simmons ... why am I looking at Gene Simmons? *runs*

Top Chef, Project Runway and the absolute worst/best... Antiques Roadshow.

I just can't help it. I love seeing the stuff that people have and either rejoicing at their luck at having something worth a lot of money, or wallowing in their misery that they have something worth nothing. I watch it while I fold clothes or reorganize my DVDs.

Antiques Roadshow I went through a phase of really liking that - at some point I just wandered off. Very low stress that show.

I wonder if you've ever seen Bargain Hunters on BBC America? That's a show you watch for the host.
*oh man that just reminded me of Ground Force on BBC: A - loved that show till they dumped the main host (shark jump)

iron chef

I didn't see an "America" there so good man. As much as I love Alton Brown (Good Eats ftw, but no embarrassing imo) it just doesn't measure up (I'll still watch it from time to time when a REAL Iron Chef is competing and not one of their demi-Iron Chefs)

Most of the potentially embarrassing shows I watch and yet end up enjoying are a result of my wife. There is a show that I can watch for HOURS and whenever someone walks in on me watching it they get a very perplexed and concerned look on their face. How It's Made (HD).

How It's Made

I love that show. I don't know why, but I enjoy seeing how everyday things are manufactured. For some reason I have this wish that I could do one of those factory jobs for a couple weeks. "Yeah, I made the zipper pull on your jacket, NBD."

This season my guilty pleasure is probably Glee. It could be my interest in music, choir, and musical theatre that pulled me in. It's getting formulaic, but it entertains me. The writing is pretty good with some witty jokes and the music is well done.

I'm also in the boat with "it's my wife's fault" with a few shows. So You Think You Can Dance is one of them. I'm not upset if I miss an episode, but if she's watching it I'll watch with her. There's a couple other "game show" reality shows that, if she has it on the TV I don't mind sitting and watching.

I really don't like all the other reality shows. I think this fad needs to die. Spend a little more money to get real writers and actors and give me a good show.

"Yeah, I made the zipper pull on your jacket, NBD."I spent many years working IT in the steel industry. That included wandering around the coil bays where 15T rolls of steel were kept, and doing IT work in the control booths of the production lines (galvanic finishing is awesome to watch - esp at night, organic - paint - finishes were kinda "meh"). I got a kick out of working in that environment.

I absolutely adore "True Blood" but I'll be dammed if I'll feel guilty about it! Great show.

I suppose mine would be "Middleman". Mostly because I was so resistant to it when my boyfriend was first pushing it on me. It's terribly cheesy but that's ok, that's the point. It's a fun show and I like it now but ... don't tell my boyfriend! He still thinks I tolerate it for him. :P

Biggest Loser.

Oh, and thanks to Netflix I have probably watched every episode of 30 Rock more than a dozen times. Its my go to show when cleaning the house.

And the Nanny in reruns. I have a bad sense of humor streak.

Hey, would The Soup on E! be considered a guilty pleasure?

I really wish that show was on a different network. I don't watch anything on E! channel and it always sucks when you bring up "Did you watch The Soup last night? It was hilarious." and the response back is always "Um no, I don't watch anything on E! channel" Neither do I, but this show is the anomaly.

I'm not embarrassed that I like Supernatural but it's definitely a step down in quality from the shows I usually tend to watch. Despite that, I still rent it every time a new season comes out. It's a fun show but it's a cheesy kind of fun and that's what I consider to be the definition a guilty pleasure.

No way! The Soup is like the guilty pleasure combination vaccine: you get just enough of each of the separate plagues which comprise Reality TV to be entertained but not so much as to be afflicted with having to watch the shows themselves.

That show is fun, but I never make a point to watch it. McHale is good at his job, but I do miss the Greg Kinnear days. It seemed a bit more natural - without the now EXTREMELY FORCED laughter from the crew which (unless I'm deluding myself) used to seem like a natural occurrence. Still, it's a great concept and funny for sure (and something I wouldn't admit to watching most likely)

Actually I think the forced laughter is part of the humor. It seems like a fun place to work, that's for sure.
