Did anyone ever read these books? I read I think the first 6 and to me they were pretty brutal. I don't know if it was the way I imagined it while reading but it had pretty intense and violent moments. I heard this movie was going to come out a long time ago so I was anticipating it's release for a few years. I then saw the movie at a screening about 8 months ago and was disappointed. It was at a screening so I don't know how much they changed but they would have had to start over from scratch for me to watch it again. The weird thing was the movie was like a blend of the first and second books then had some stuff from the 6th book but nothing from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. It was just a bummer seeing this childish movie come from the brutal story that I had in my head.
