http://machinarium.net/demo/

a little demo/game thing I was referred to, on twitter of all things. I looks really, really cool... but I dunno if it would fly on a console or a PC?

interested in hearing what the TRS gang thought. I kind of like it, but I'm often into really, really weird stuff.

I just downloaded the demo from Steam and gave it a go. I adore the art style but abhor that genre of game. I felt the same way about Syberia. It was beautiful to look at but I just can't stand pixel-hunting. I'm not saying I need items with which I can interact to glow brightly like a MMO quest item but I do not enjoy running the mouse all over the screen, hovering over various bits of scenery and hoping the mouse pointer changes to a hand icon. Personally, I find it tedious.

For some reason, I feel really badly about feeling this way, too. I feel as though I'm not giving games like this a fair shake but after just a few minutes with them, I'm ready to do something else.

I would like to take a screenshot from Machinarium, frame it and hang it on my wall as a piece of artwork.
