I used Partition Magic so I could dual-boot XP and Vista. Once my trial ran out, I went to the XP side and formatted the Vista half then combined the partitions back together. Now when I start my computer, I still have the:
"Older Version of Windows"
"Microsoft Windows Vista"

I googled on how to remove it and it all seemed to lead up to: "Do blah blah blah in the Vista side" even though I no longer have it. I looked into the boot.ini (or whatever) but didn't see any "Vista" options to delete. So I re-installed the Beta for another 30 day trial, thinking it might fix it, but it just added another option.
"Older Version of Windows"
"Microsoft Windows Vista" <--- default 30 second OS
"Microsoft Windows Vista" <--- old one doesn't work

How could I remove that bottom option?

Here is my boot.ini:

;Warning: Boot.ini is used on Windows XP and earlier operating systems.

Get an XP cd(with recovery console) or DOS boot disc then run fixmbr.

Also here's (http://forums.g4tv.com/messageview.cfm?catid=64&threadid=683349) a link to another forum which has quick response to Tech Support in which I posted in. I will try using a Floppy hence I have a Resource CD.

EDIT: I tried a floppy but I didn't have the FIXMBR function on the floppy. I'll Google for it, or if anyone is here if they could link me to a FIXMRB file that fits on a floppy or 2.

Here is something you can try, but i have no idea if it will work?

start >> right click "my computer" >> properties >> advanced tab >> start up and recovery settings

Good luck :)
