True spacenerd/geek gets MissionClock app if he/she uses IPhone. It gives you countdowns to almost all launches around the world, where the nasa app only gives you info about nasa. http://www.latencyzero.com/lz/MissionClock.html

Heh, I would argue that a true space geek would get both apps. I prefer MissionClock for its scary accurate countdown to missions as well as mission milestones both in the T-/L- sequence as well as in the T+ sequence. MissionClock is also nice because it covers as many launches as it can get, not just NASA events. But if you want anything beyond a countdown or basic mission info you won't get it on MissionClock.
For the mission information, pictures and to show pretty things to your non-space geek friends that is where the NASA app comes in. As stated though it is only for NASA missions and while there are quite a few missions from NASA there are also a lot mission from JAXA, ESA, Russia, etc. that you won't get.
Just my $0.02.
