So ever since Digg started carrying podcasts, I've been obsessively checking how many diggs its been getting. But yesterday, I was surprised to see the total number of diggs go down. I thought maybe people had "undigg"ed it, but when I look at the "who dugg this" tab under "all diggers", I still have my original amount of people listed there. odd.

you can see for yourself here. (as of now, 5 total diggs, but it shows 12 people who have dugg the show)

has anyone else with a podcast seen this happen? do "diggs" expire?

I yet have seen anything like this, that seems very weird hmm

I wouldn't worry about it much.

Why wouldn't you worry? Because you don't have a podcast?

Anyhow, I can try to get an answer for you kwok_talk and will post back in this thread if I find out anything.

wo relax bud, one or 2 diggs is not much, things mess up and fix themselfs like that normally.

I'm relaxed, I was kidding in that post, nothing serious.

In the meantime, kwok_talk, feel free to take a pass on the other forums we have here. Enjoy yourself.

Sure, I'm sure things will get corrected and I didn't take your response that way.

But when you don't have a popular podcast and you see over half your accumulated diggs vanish and every single one counts, it makes a bigger difference.

I guess you have a point, sorry for my ignorance. :)

To be clear, the first part of my last point was for bman, not you.

Digg support got back today and pointed that on the website they mention that if a person digging your podcast doesn't use the site in 2 weeks, you lose the digg related to that person (but it gets reinstalled if they do access the site). Makes total sense to prevent abuse and fake accounts. Just kinda sucks since a lot of my friends who I got to digg my podcast aren't of the typical digg demographic and hence don't use the site. Oh well...
