Hey guys, I noticed in the Netflix sponsorship at the end of the episode you have the web address but you called the '/' a backslash, when in fact a backslash is '\'

It seems trivial, but since the Slash is used as a delimiter for unix-like file systems (of which the internet is one) using a backslash (used in Microsoft windows filesystems just to be different than the global standard) won't actually take you anywhere online.

please refer to:

Oh, and I'm not some anal freak btw, I'm just a trained graphic designer and I love typography and preserving the beauty in punctuation. Okay, so maybe that's a little nerdy. *sigh*

Just please be lazy next time and just say 'netflix dot com slash (whatever)' and I won't have to cringe. Great episode though, I really enjoyed the range of emotion the narrator packed into that letter - great first episode otherwise, I'll be looking for more!

Thanks for noticing & giving us the heads up... we definitely understand the difference between a forward slash and a back slash.

We'll let the magicians over at INST MSGS know.

hi that's me. ann. i'm crawling out from under the rock of embarrassment to say that it was all us and not rev3's fault for being dumb.

it was late at night. we had to deliver the piece. i asked justin "isn't that a forward slash," and he said no "the other rev3 show said backslash. i'm tired." "me, too, and i'm hungry," i responded.

yup that's right, i just threw justin and another rev3 show under the bus. guess what, no one ever listens to the producer (me). maybe they should next time!

i'm sorry innovati, i'm sorry netflix. please don't fire us.

there will probably be other mistakes in the future. can a KIND, revision3 member join us in being a part of a select group to help double check and give feedback for any of our rough cuts before we deliver? if you accept the challenge, i will put you through a gauntlet to test your loyalty.

we'd LOVE your help. i'd like to face the world again and to avoid the backslash backlash.

@jackie hehe :-D

@annle I enjoyed reading your post :-) It was written in a fun way! I still love you guys, it's just as though you said the wrong name, at the very wrong moment in our relationship is all. I'll survive ;-)

Erm, I'd love to help out any way I can....I'm sure there's plenty of things I let slip by, but that's why you have a group of people....many eyes make bugs shallow right? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linus%27_Law )

I've been a fan of rev3 for a couple years ago, loving shows like Control-Alt-Chicken (I still re-watch them sometimes for fun.....) and I've been spreading Rev3 and Diggnation especially around as much as I can - and using you as my go-to example on the paradigm shift away from traditional syndicated television toward independently-produced shows with free high-quality digital distribution!!

So test me! do it do it! I DARE you ;-)

Oh hell, Ontario. That's hard to give you a preview now isn't it?

We're just saying SLASH now.
