I think uber geek. I just don't think diggnation and hodgeman mix well. He's a better fit for something like You Look Nice Today (if they're still around).

yeah i agree i thought he got into it pretty well. he's definitely more energetic than alex and kevin but after the first few minutes i thought he was great. added a little spice and i thought his humor meshed well with alex and kevin

there was alot of heat between hodgman and alex, dunno if anyone else caught that. they were trying to one up each other on intelligent jokes, and there were alot of awkward moments between the two.
i dont think diggnation and hodg mix well either, to be honest i hope to never see him on the show again.
the guy is remarkably intelligent, but hes not humble about it. He knows hes got brains and wit, but chooses to be more of a prick with it.
then again, it could all be a put on gimmick to fancy the "apple personality".

Yeah Hodgman is socially awkward but he is smart and funny. For every awkward moment there were three or four great jokes, so he was great.

I think he made the show a bit awkward when he literally ran out of his office and waited out there a bit.

I just thought Alex and Kevin were too dumb to get his jokes. I haven't rewatched the episode since it came out but I remember there was one part where Alex didn't know the word that John Hodgman used. I knew the word and I am 20. It's not John Hodgman's fault that Kevin and Alex can't get past frat humor.

I just watched the episode right now and thought it was one of the best. The three of them have great chemistry. I hope to see Hodgman again! Yes, Hodgman is more of an esoteric geek, but is still a down to earth, funny guy. He seems like such a sweetheart too. (=
