I have recently been having problems with Windows freezing at start-up, to the point where I have to turn my computer off at the plug and start again. The last few times I have had to do this 3/4 times before I can actually log-on.
It happens just after I have selected my user name.
Can any one help?

The Geek Squad would tell you that they need to reformat your HD. :D

start > run > msconfig and then disable the 'startup' items that you dont need.

Have you recently installed any software or hardware?
If you have, uninstall or disconnect it and see if you still have a problem.

What he said.. and you can also try using the "rollback" feature of drivers. If you recently updated any specific drivers, try rolling them back before uninstalling / removing..
The more information you can give us the better too..
