You hibernating for the winter? Just noticed a steep decline in the Rad Gal department. Always nice to get your point of view on things to balance things out.
Bueller . . . Bueller . . . Serenity . . . Bueller . . . and how's the TRS mom? (How's Anakin doin? He pumped to see Avatar?)

I actually feel like there's been a decline in activity across the board, myself included (crazy semester). So EVERYONE, get active!

Rad gals are in seriously short supply these days. Most have had their rad-ness taken over by utter rubbish like TWILIGHT and 'reality' television.
Women with good taste and a sense of humour are a relic of the past, I fear.
Prove me wrong, ladies...

I think most casual discourse has moved off the forum into more private venues like Facebook because you don't have to worry about trolling and obnoxious forum members looking to pick-up woman on forums.

Was that really happening on here? I always thought this was such a nice well mannered forum (one of the main reasons I kept coming to it).
And as far as trolls go, I can't really remember them ever being a problem here.
Oh well, I plan on coming back full force after this holiday break.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!

Like some said earlier, I kinda faded out a bit too, cause of twitter and facebook, but I'm starting to tire of those a bit, and have started coming back here a lot more lately for real conversations with really cool people.
Started a non-gender specific similar thread (http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31878) last week in the general forums.

Yeah, actually several of my all time, favorite people I met here left here cause of a few (very few) people they percieved as trolls, even if they technically weren't trolls by mods definition, they were trollish enough to keep these cool folks away. Which is a shame. Most won't ever come back here. :(

I make my rounds on here reading post but besides this avatar thing nothing has spiked my interest so I too just dwell in the shadows. Although I tend not to post a lot because people around here really know thier stuff so I'd have to spend some time on google just to post soemthing worthy of the trs'ers which is just work in the end and no one likes work.

I've jut been way too wrapped up in Christmas planning/shopping, work and finding time to play Dragon Age and Torchlight. Torchlight has seriously taken a huge chunk of my free time...
It's like Diablo II all over again. Damn you Steam and your great deals on awesome PC games!

You shouldn't hold back. I certainly don't. My tastes tend to match up with early Alex reviews. Although lately he seems to be becoming more and more like Dan and Jeff. Meat and potatoes is how I roll! I don't worry about posting how I feel about a movie simply because I think some crazy movie elitist or know-it-all will get on my case about liking something they don't feel is worthy. I love this place far too much! And I think all of the regulars and true TRSers are a respectful lot, especially when it comes to someone's opinion of something. Probably everyone here has a geeky side to them, and thus probably likes things that are viewed as "uncool". I think that builds a respect for what other people like into a personality. Or at least it should.

I think a lot of us just got insanely busy. Since starting grad school, I haven't had much time to browse the forums and contribute (yay for "winter break", even though my finals are in January). Another factor is that there is a serious lack of fun off topic threads. Do you guys remember these threads:
The TRS Photowhore Thread (http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13642)
Piercings, Tattoos, etc (http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14432)
Insurgence of hawt ladies on the forums (http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19870)
So..I had a dream about Jeff Cannata (http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8497)
I especially liked the insurgence of hot women thread. It started off just being a creepy come on thread to all the ladies on the board (much like this one), however, it became a place where we all came together and "shoot the sh*t", as they say.

Add the, 'dan is really annoying' thread, which got hijacked and turned into a thread about the TRS womens.

I'm a girl and I know I haven't posted much. I forgot about the forums until the new site launch, and then I've just been to busy with school and all that. But, now I'm on vacation, and bored, so I'm sure to be here a lot. Maybe other rad girls will be doing the same thing?

The kid hasn't seen Avatar yet, but he is super excited for Sherlock Holmes. He has been raised on Holmes courtesy of his mother (card carrying member of the Sherlock Holmes Society).
Otherwise I am doing okay, great new job, in process of getting my MBA and working on prepping my house so when the market is finally better I can sell you.
How are you sweetie?
