Good evening,
I'm excited to introduce a new feature on the forums tonight. You now have the ability to embed Youtube videos in your posts. :)
To use it, it's just like any regular bbcode, except with the "youtube" tag.
It works like this...
If you were wanting to post the following video, you would use a code like I've pasted in the code box below, where you only enter the unique code from the end of the video's URL.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=S1CR_lEu0iY
[*youtube]S1CR_lEu0iY[/youtube]
When posting it, you would of course remove the asterisk (*) from the opening tag...I just added that so I could post the code to show what it would look like.
Posting the above code, would show this:
S1CR_lEu0iY
Just change out the string within the code brackets with that at the end of any Youtube video's URL, to post the video directly in a post on the forum. Enjoy, and if you have any questions, just ask.
BTW...I'd just like to say 'thanks' to one of my good friends, Jacob Bowser (the_d), for helping me develop this feature. I like to call him the "Flash God". :)
